“Dad, Mom, I am sorry…boohoo…” Her voice was laced with guilt and remorse. However, her words sounded heartbreaking as well.

Si Mobai was wiping the sweat from her face. His gentle kiss fell upon her cheek as he tried to wake her up. “Lan’er, Lan’er.”

Feng Tianlan felt a sudden change in the scenery. Si Mobai was tied up in chains and Shen Yunya was holding a dagger, poised like a demon. Then she stabbed him violently and slit his throat. His blood squirted all over her face, just like in the previous scene where she was killed…

“Mobai, no!”

“I am here, Lan’er. I am here.” Si Mobai ignored the pain in his chest from where she hit him. He just hugged her as tightly as he could. His gentle kisses continued to rain down on her face.

“Lan’er,” Si Mobai called out as he saw her waking up. She was breathing heavily. Her phoenix eyes were wide open and not focusing on him at all. They were filled with terror. He held her face and kissed her eyes gently. “Lan’er, wake up. I am Mobai. I am here. Don’t be afraid, I am here.”

Why was her consciousness still dreaming even though she was awake? What exactly did she see in her dream?

“Mo…bai?” The bloody scenario in front of her eyes started disintegrating slowly, replaced by the voice that was filled with a cooling mint fragrance. She could only see a silk curtain in front of her though, and her nose was filled with a mint fragrance that she was familiar with.

“I am Mobai, I am here.” Si Mobai saw her regaining her focus slowly. But that fear he had experienced was still creeping all over him.

Feng Tianlan slowly regained consciousness from her visions. She looked up slowly at the familiar handsome demonic face in front of her. He was slowly becoming clearer and larger in her eyes. The red dot on his forehead highlighted his star-like peach-blossom eyes and his sharp nose. The most perfect lips in the world were pulled in a frown, making her want to kiss them right after she saw it.
