A month later, a letter arrived at the Flying Frost Pavilion. The letter was a spiritual ball crashing into a peaceful lake, displacing the water, creating endless tidal waves. A change was coming.

“Tianlan!”

Feng Tianlan was training in the Pill Scroll Realm when she heard Luo Yunzhu’s anxious voice. She came back to reality immediately.

“Tianlan! I have news, breaking news!” Luo Yunzhu pushed the door open and threw herself into the room. She grabbed Feng Tianlan by the shoulders. “People from the Xuantian Continent are coming here! They have sent word that this time they are making an exception and taking someone back with them.”

“What?” Feng Tianlan frowned.

“It was in the letter the headmaster received just now!” Luo Yunzhu thought she must have been unclear in conveying her message, so she repeated the contents of the letter with as much detail as she could remember. Because it came from the Xuantian Continent, the headmaster treated it like an Imperial Edict, and everyone was forced to listen as he read out the letter.

“Are the Supremacy the ones who are coming?” Feng Tianlan’s heart skipped a beat. She always knew that things were not as simple as they appeared to be. Making an exception and taking someone to the Xuantian Continent…could it be that Brother Jin was here to take Tu Xiupei with him?

Luo Yunzhu thought for a while and said, “Should be, it was not explicitly mentioned though.”

Feng Tianlan grunted in response and said, “I understand.”

“That’s it? That’s all you have to say about this?” She had rushed over in excitement as soon as she received the news. How could Feng Tianlan remain so calm?

“What else do you want me to say?” Feng Tianlan grumbled, folding her arms.

As if chastised by Feng Tianlan’s calmness, Luo Yunzhu suddenly realized that she was probably making a mountain out of a molehill. “Good point. It’s not like they are making an exception to take me with them.”

If they were making an exception though, it was more likely that they would take Feng Tianlan with them. Maybe Feng Tianlan would be the lucky one.

Feng Tianlan felt uneasy at the idea that Xi Jin was coming. She didn’t like the idea of him spending time with Tu Xiupei. It was a mistake somehow. Obviously, she had no way of telling him this.
