Chapter 401 - The Luo Familys Mysterious Background (1/2)
When Si Mobai had left the Misty Forest, he’d said that he’d wanted to go to the Xuantian Continent. However, more than a month had now passed, and he was still in South Peace City.
Si Mobai held Feng Tianlan’s hand as they turned into the corridor. He then took both of her hands in his and blew warm air on them to warm her up. He said, “The things happening at Luo Manor must have you so worried. Besides, the new year is almost here, so I decided to delay my journey.”
He should have left long ago, but something unexpected had happened at Luo Manor. Lan’er must have been blaming herself and working very hard. Eventually, he’d had to step in to help her out as he couldn’t bear to see her sad.
Feng Tianlan looked at the expression on Si Mobai’s face. He was vigorously blowing warm air to warm up her hands. She felt a burning sensation on her palms and blushed, saying, “I am fine. It’s just that Yunzhu, she…” her voice trailed off for a moment. “Besides, this matter is too grave. If things remain this uncertain, then I am afraid that those people might go looking for Yunzhu.”
Si Mobai let out a faint ‘uh-huh’ as he continued to warm up Tianlan’s hands.
“My hands are not cold anymore,” Feng Tianlan said, then quickly pulled back her hands and buried them inside her sleeves. She felt a burning sensation on her face from the cold wind.
Si Mobai did not persist. He blocked part of the cold wind for her with his body and said, “I have found some clues regarding this matter that I think may be helpful to you.”
Feng Tianlan raised her head and peered at Si Mobai. Half of his face was blocked by the candlelight, which made him even more mysterious. The Zhusha mole on his forehead was still as red as fresh blood. Tianlan then looked at his hair and saw that it was covered in a layer of soft white snow. It looked like his black hair was turning white, which made him appear even more like a banished immortal.
His head was covered in snow. When it melted, he would definitely get a migraine.
Si Mobai wanted to tell her what he had found out, but Tianlan, who was a head shorter than him, was standing on tiptoes, trying to increase her height. She then reached out her hand and gently brushed the crown of his head. Snowflakes shook right off.
At that moment, Si Mobai’s cold heart instantly melted into water.
