Chapter 381 (1/2)
Chapter 381: Si Mobai’s Confession
Feng Tianlan shook her head and said, “Yunzhu, it’s nothing. Let me help him inside so he can rest.” The red patch between her eyebrows had been as caused by the natal contract. It would be fine after two days.
Luo Yunzhu stood aside, looking at the two of them as they went into the room. Now that they both had red skin dots their eyebrows, they looked even more like a couple.
Feng Tianlan helped Si Mobai lie down and fed him some water. He was a bit annoyed that he had to lie down right after regaining consciousness.
“How do you know about the natal contract?” Feng Tianlan asked and sat by the bed. The natal contract was very ancient. Initially, the agreement had only existed between humans and divine beasts. Later on, because the number of heavenly creatures had decreased (or some other reason), the contract was now forged between tow humans.
However, when a natal contract was signed between two humans, several harsh terms were involved.
The stronger party could not forcefully sign a single-sided natal contract with a weaker party. That would be a misuse of the deal because the weak party would die if the strong one did. Therefore, such a contract could not succeed without the more vulnerable party’s consent.
Another type was the one that Si Mobai had signed, where the stronger party forcefully agreed to a single-sided contract with the weaker party. However, this was a protection contract. Therefore, the weaker party’s consent was not required.
Si Mobai peered into Feng Tianlan’s beautiful face and replied, “Because I am not from the Guiyuan Continent.”
Hearing these words, Feng Tianlan’s heart clicked. She looked at Si Mobai in astonishment. He was not from the Guiyuan Continent?
“Did Si Ming come by when I was unconscious?”
“Yes,” Feng Tianlan said. Her vision was focused on the Zhusha dot on Si Mobai’s forehead again. His powerful spiritual force was sealed once again.
“Si Ming is not my father. He’s my subordinate.”
“Uh….” Feng Tianlan was stunned for a while. Finally, she muttered, “You don’t have to tell me anything more.”
