Chapter 353 (1/2)
Chapter 353: Dream or Premonition?
“Hm?” Si Mobai raised his voice slightly. That faction was unheard of on the Guiyuan Continent.
“The leader of the Three Great Alliances of the Xuantian Continent. Its members are all above the level of Heavenly Supreme,” Tianlan murmured instinctively. Suddenly, she felt Si Mobai staring at her, puzzled, so she lifted her head and quickly apologized, “Sorry.”
She must keep her secret from everyone. No one could ever find out about it, no matter who they were to her.
“Me too.” He also had a secret of his own that could not be spoken, not even to her. At least not now.
Feng Tianlan’s heart skipped a beat to see how understanding he was. She tried to stand up, yet the world suddenly began to spin, forcing her to collapse to the ground.
Si Mobai quickly caught her, then cradled her in his arms. As he looked at her pallid face, his worry deepened. He blurted out, worriedly, “Lan’er.”
“I’m fine. Yunzhu and the rest…” Her body was completely worn out. She couldn’t even budge an inch.
“I’ll bring you to them.” Resisting the urge to fall asleep, Si Mobai carried Feng Tianlan and leaped in the direction from which they’d come. He moved shockingly fast, like a beam of light whizzing by.
Feng Tianlan nestled limply in his arms. Her hands were still bleeding, and her body had been pushed to its limits.
Earlier, she had suppressed her exhaustion through sheer force of will. Now that he was fine and out of danger, she could finally relax her tense nerves. It was as if a huge boulder had been removed from her shoulders.
A chilly wind laced with the strong stench of blood filled her nostrils. Nonetheless, she could discern a faint minty scent. Even though the wind was cold and raw, she felt warm in Si Mobai’s embrace.
He moved extraordinarily fast. Their clothes fluttered in the wind as their hair tangled in the dark night. Even their heartbeats seemed to be in sync.
She found a sense of security in his stable, pounding heartbeat. Slowly, she closed her eyes and let drowsiness wash over her mind. The scent of blood spread drifted in the air, lingering in front of her nose and engulfing her whole.
