It wasn't long before they arrived at Amy's apartment. Parking outside, Amy lingered in her seat. ”Are you coming with me?” she asked.

Her invite surprised Derek. 'Of course I'd like to. But I couldn't actively ask to visit her house until she asked first, ' he thought.

”Do you mean that?” he asked aloud. He was overjoyed inside.

Amy nodded in agreement and looked at him with a smile.

”Okay, ” he agreed. He removed his car key and got out of the car with Amy.

They walked hand-in-hand into the apartment building together.
