Chapter 29 Divorce Agreement (Part Two) (2/2)
continued,”Jackson, though we don't love each other, I really thank you for having accompanied me all these days. I know myself clearly. Since Sally He has come back, it's time for me to leave.”
When Cherry said this, her heart ached. Only she knew that she did not want to leave Jackson and their home. She wondered, 'Where could I go after I leave here? I can't go back to the Shen household, so where can I go?'
Jackson furiously snatched the divorce agreement, ripped it apart and threw it on the ground. He glowered at Cherry and yelled,”Cherry Shen! Do you think it is that easy to divorce me, a military personnel? You can't divorce me without my consent!”
Seeing Jackson's reaction, Cherry couldn't control her emotions. So she went one step further, approached Jackson and said,”Jackson, can't you divorce me by using your considerable power and influence?”
”Don't push my limits!” Jackson was serious. He would never divorce this woman.
”Haha! Your limits?” Cherry asked with a wry smile,”Aren't you tired? Even if you are not, I'm quite tired, Jackson.”
Jackson did not want to argue with Cherry, nor did he want to be angry at her. He really cherished her, so how could he be angry at her?
”Come on! Let me take you to the bedroom so that we could rest.” Then Jackson pulled Cherry and went upstairs.
This time, Cherry did not resist him and instead followed him upstairs.
Jackson tucked in Cherry. He knelt besides the bed and tightly clutched Cherry's hand with scald. His heart ached. He lowered his head and kissed the back of her hand. His heart was torn apart.
”Jackson Chu,” Cherry called his full name but her voice was gentle.
”Baby, I'm so sorry. It's all my fault.” Jackson became gentle, too. He had promised to protect this woman, but what he had done was actually hurting her.
Cherry had wanted to ask about Sally He, but looking at Jackson, she resisted the urge.
”Can you stay here tonight?” Cherry asked. She looked into Jackson's eyes and waited for his answer.
Jackson looked into Cherry's eyes, pulled out his hand, gently touched her cheek and finally said,”You shall sleep.”
Hearing Jackson's words, Cherry knew that he would not stay with her.
Cherry closed her eyes to prevent her tears from falling down. She turned her head and did not look at Jackson anymore.
