At the barracks, the face of the leader sitting behind the desk had already darkened. Looking at the pictures in his hand, he was very angry. He had left her for just one day, in fact even less than a day, and his woman had already been bullied. She was not only grabbed at by his ungrateful nephew, but also slapped by the vicious Jean. He wished that he could fly back immediately to shoot these two people. They had a death wish to hurt his woman!

Suddenly, Lucia and Edwin rushed into the Chu home.

The moment they entered the living room, Lucia reported to Andrew,”Grandpa, something bad has happened.”

Hearing Lucia's words, Andrew was surprised. His grand-daughter had never been in such a state of panic. What had happened this time?

”What's the matter? Take it easy and say it slowly,” said Andrew. He put down the cup in his hand.

Lucia said,”Grandpa, John's application for governorship has been suddenly cancelled. I don't know who did it and I don't know what to do.”

She was highly agitated and had no idea what to do. If her son's future had been affected, it was like cutting short her life.

”What? Who dared to ruin my great-grandson's future? Is he asking for death?” said Andrew, in a serious tone.

”I don't know. I have asked several friends to check it out, but they are not allowed to say anything.” said Edwin.

Lucia's eyes were full of hatred. ”Someone must be envious of John and is playing dirty tricks. Grandpa, you must find out who is behind this evil act.”

Begged Lucia, tugging at Andrew's clothes.

Andrew thought for a while and said,”Don't worry. I will send someone to investigate this. If there is indeed someone playing dirty tricks on John, I will not let him get away.”

Hearing this, Lucia felt relieved. Since Andrew had taken up the matter, everything would be fine. For Andrew's reach and power were there for all to see.

Andrew commanded the butler,”Go to check on this now and get me the report in half an hour.”

”Yes, sir.” The butler said and then turned away.

Lucia and Edwin sat in the living room, waiting for the news.
