He looked extremely enraged and he looked at Sima You Yue with boundless hatred. He couldn’t wait to tear into her flesh and drink her blood. However, Sima You Yue didn’t have the slightest impression of him.
“If you want to kill me, you should have brought a lot more people.” Sima You Yue said, “With so little of them, I won’t even have enough to pick my teeth.”
“Confidence is a good thing, but overconfidence…”
“Pfft- pfft- pfft-”
“Bang- Bang-”
The steward had yet to finish speaking when all he saw was a black shadow flash past him. Everyone that he brought had their throats slit and were lying on the ground behind him.
“Just this little bit of power and you dare to come here? Tsk tsk, you really are bold!” Huan flashed in front of him and before he could react, he felt a cold sensation on his neck and could only watch blankly as his blood spurted out.
His eyes were wide, not daring to believe that he was looking at his own fresh blood. He stretched forth both hands to try and stem the flow but it was useless. His blood continued to spill out through the cracks between his fingers.
The speed of which his life passed by finally let him understand at the end that he had been killed even before he managed to do anything. Furthermore, the lady that he so detested did not even lift a finger.
After Huan had finished them all off, he lit a fire and burnt all of the corpses. Even the blood in the dirt had been scrubbed off. It didn’t look like anyone had died there at all.
The flying beast saw that its steward had been killed and lay on the ground, trembling nonstop. When it sensed the few silhouettes drawing near it, it stuffed its head into the ground, not daring to come up.
It was so scared, sob sob sob!
Sima You Yue watched it act this way and pursed her lips. Why did she feel like this flying beast was a little easy to tease?
“Relax, I will not kill you for now. Just obediently take us to Great Bear City and you will be able to return back alive. Otherwise, I will send you to accompany your steward.”
When that big bird heard what she said, it lifted its head up happily. Its fluffy head was still covered with dirt..
“If you don’t clean yourself up right now, I’m going to turn you into a roasted bird!” Sima You Yue threatened it.
“Screech-”
The flying beast immediately disappeared from before her, much quicker than it had flown in the day.
For the next few days, the flying beast was obedient and did not bring any more trouble to them. The flying beast obediently told Sima You Yue what its earlier instructions were. Sima You Yue let it fly according to the original plan.
If they didn’t fly according to the original plan, how would those people know which route she would take?!
Today, she was surrounded again.
“This time, let me.” Black Shadow spoke. He didn’t even waste a single second speaking with them before acting.
Those people were still prepared to show off in front of Sima You Yue and revel in her terror. However, before they managed to say a thing, they were exterminated.
The flying beast saw that Black Shadow was so powerful and inwardly rejoiced. It was a good thing that it had told them everything, otherwise it would have been killed.
“Young Miss, these people are lame. Can’t they send stronger men?” Black Shadow complained once he returned.
“This is just the beginning. Very few people have gotten wind of the news. Also, we’re far away. Once things reach a later stage, it will be time for you to act.” Sima You Yue didn’t think that it would stay this way throughout. The more time progressed, the stronger the people they would encounter.
If it was just like this and it was just the few of them, it would not be easy to manage. Furthermore, once there were many of them, Huan and Black Shadow would not be able to act easily.
“Young Miss, before we left, my King said that we had to ensure your safety at the cost of all else.” Black Shadow told her what Hades had instructed them, changing the meaning of what he said.
