13 The Welcome Back Party (1/2)

Sunday.

6 p.m.

Williams' Family Penthouse Apartment.

Logan had reached his home after a rehab session. Dr.Stones had changed his rehab into two sessions per day. One was early morning and one was in the evening. As Logan stood at the door of his home, he started feeling nervous. His supposed 'friends' were standing behind the door. He never had true friends in his past life and the ones he had, left a mental trauma on him. His mind was filled with all these confusing thoughts of what to expect behind this door. He had seen all the memories related to these friends and he was expecting a good, nurtured companionship after seeing those memories. But time changes everything. What if his expectations weren't met? What if the same thing happened to him as it had in his previous life? What if they had changed? What if his friends betrayed him again?

He put all these thoughts behind and pushed open the door. In few seconds he had been embraced by the doll like Mia;”Big brother. Hehe.”

He swooped her up, yeah, he could do that now and teased her nose.

”Mumma. Big brother is home.”

The brat had put him in a difficult position. He put his fingers through his hair as he senseda large number of eyes converge on him. He put Mia down and said awkwardly,”Hello everyone.”

A delicate figure flashed infront of him and he was pushed back due to the sudden weight he felt in his embrace. He had to immediately stabilise his footsteps to keep balance. He found a splendid looking girl in his arms.

”Hi Em. Wow. How beautiful have you become?”,he whistled.

The instant she heard 'Em', Emily froze in Logan's arms for a second and tears gushed out of him.

”We thought you would forget us.”

He soothed her, patting her back. After a while she stopped sobbing. Everyone gathered around, were watching the scene with happiness and a bit of amusement. Especially 2 others who had come forward with Emily. Logan released Emily from his arms and said looking at her,”How can I forget such a gorgeous girl? How did you turn into such a beautiful girl Em? You were so snobby back then.Tell me where have you kept our real Emily.”

Emily playfully hit Logan's chest and said,”You still have your sweet mouth I see. And who are you saying was snobby?”

Ryan who was watching from the sidelines said:”See Em. I told you third brother won't forget us. Bro I knew you won't forget us”.

Logan instead looked at Henry pulled him in a hug and said,” Hi bro. How the hell did they convince you to dress up? Aren't you supposed to be lazy?”

Everyone started laughing. Henry felt awkward and said,”All the laziness in the world can't stop me if it's something for you brother.” Logan felt warmth and companionship he sorely missed in his previous lifetime. He pulled Henry into another hug.

After a moment he looked at Ryan and said stammering,”Hello. I am really sorry. Plz pardon me I don't remember you. Hey Em. Who is this?”
