Of course, perception is not an ability only a Card Creator need. Some profession, such as Card Refiner, that is a specialized profession of the card user, also have similar requirements of perception.

Also because of that, it gives rise to a new occupation – Card Refiner. They are professional in the usage of cards, because they all throw their energy into how to make the card surpa.s.s it’s limit, their usage of cards is more ferocious than the Card Creator. A person’s energy is limited, if while learning how to make cards, also learn how to be a Card Refiner, often they would be unable to get a good achievement in both areas. As times go by, both occupations become more and more different.

However, there are exceptions, such as Heiner Vincent. He is one of the genius Card Creator, but at the same time is also one of that era’s top ranking Card Refiner. He also became the last recorded Card Master.

In modern times, Card Creator and Card Refiner, in regards to tempering the perception, placed different emphasis. Card Creator mostly laid special emphasis on the energy perception, while Card Refiner incline on the energy control.

There are a lot of methods to train perception, but all shared a common characteristic, that is the need of a medium. Different medium will affect the properties of the perception. The properties of the perception will in turn affect the cards made by the Card Creator, and the nature of the card will directly affect the effect of the card used by the Card Refiner. Therefore, in many places, inside some school, Card Creator and Card Refiner often coexist.
