Ximena silently thought, criticizing Aaron's logic. Deciding to not voice that out, she did nothing but curl her lips. Since she could not speak as freely as she intended to in front of the employees, she said, ”I wanted to ask whether you were going to have lunch with me.”

”Hmm,” Aaron answered. ”Okay then. Let's go.” He took Ximena's hand and pulled her close to him. ”That's exactly why I came here. I'm picking you up to have lunch.”

”Oh really?” Ximena was so shocked that she was not able to realize what had happened right away. When she was able to, she was already in Aaron's car.

The car started running. Along the way, Aaron didn't say a single word to Ximena. He was only busy reading a financial magazine. Sitting beside him, Ximena felt like she was sitting on pins and needles. She could do nothing but guess what Aaron was going to do with her, until she found the car turning towards the way to the manor.

”Are we going to the manor?” she asked.

”Yup.”

”Are we going to have lunch at the manor?” she asked again.

”Yup.”

Realizing that Aaron didn't want to talk to her, she could not help roll her eyes. 'Well, two people can play that game, ' she thought, staying silent for the rest of the ride. She did have to leech on to him to exist, but she didn't want to exist in a passive way.

After a few minutes, they arrived at the gate of the manor. Without looking at Aaron, Ximena got off the car. It was her turn to ignore him. However, she instantly froze as soon as she turned her head to look at the manor. Seeing how the manor looked, she gasped, leaving her mouth wide open and her eyes like saucers.
