Chapter 698 A Trap (Part One) (1/2)
Caring about someone too much blinds you sometimes that you often make the wrong decisions.

In the quiet night, Molly and Black Wolf walked slowly along the thorny bush by the river. Black Wolf had grown up in the Hell Forest so this was just a walk in the park for him. Along the way, he kept taking little steps happily in front of Molly and looking back every once in a while.
The air was thick all around making it difficult for them to breathe and see that Molly had nearly stumbled over several times.
”Woof...” Black Wolf barked. In the darkness, its green eyes gave out a terrifying cold light, just like will-o'-the-wisp.
Molly's arms had been scratched by some tree branches and thorns, but she reached out anyway to stroke Black Wolf on its head. Gasping for breath, she said in a low voice, ”Can we even get out of here?”
Black Wolf just blinked back at her and barked. Then he rubbed against Molly's legs and continued going forward.
As Molly followed Black Wolf who was leading her out of the woods, a woman in night vision goggles scuttled back and forth in the forest going unnoticed. She even knocked out two men in black who were in charge of guarding the forest.
She was carrying a handkerchief soaked in diethyl ether and she looked at the figures of Molly and Black Wolf who were slightly ahead of her. With a sneer on her face, she mumbled to herself, ”Molly, I can't wait to watch you crumble.”

Molly never rested her eyes anywhere; she was constantly looking around because she already had way too many scratches in her arms and hands. She was intensely relieved when they finally made it out of the woods alive. Looking back at the woods behind her, she felt her nose ached.
She squatted to pet Black Wolf's head as she cooed, ”Big Guy, unfortunately, I can't take you with me...” She paused. Seeing that Black Wolf wouldn't stop rubbing against her leg, she added, ”Go back, okay?”
”Ooo...” Black Wolf lay on the ground as if to say he didn't want to leave yet.
