Chapter 12

A Fateful Mistake

Looking at where the voice came from, Pang Jing Dong found two bulky men walking toward him with stern looks on their faces. Judging from their stiff movements, they were carrying some weapons on their waists.

”Who are these guys?” all kinds of possibilities flew across his mind. ”I came back here recently, so I wouldn't have offended anyone. These guys don't look like my past enemies; They are more like gangsters. Maybe they are hired by someone?”

In the meantime, the two guys had arrived before Pang Jing Dong. In this kind of situation, it was better to be pre-emptive, exactly how Pang Jing Dong reacted instinctively.

Pang Jing Dong threw a fly kick at one of the guys' chest, knocking him back a few steps, causing him to lose balance and fell to the ground in a sitting motion. The other guy who was stunned for a moment took out a machete from his waist.

Not waiting for the guy to slash at him, Pang Jing Dong secured the guy's wrist which was holding the weapon and twisted it backward with force. With a cracking sound, the guy released a painful cry and dropped the machete onto the floor.

”Get him!” A sudden uproar took place around him.

Pang Jing Dong took a quick glance at his surroundings, before an uneasy feeling came up to his mind, ”Looks like these guys are their friends too!”

There were around ten of them, each drawing out weapons while walking closer to him. In that instant, a person came running to his side and said to him in a soft voice, ”come with me quick!” Upon saying this, the person grabbed his wrist and started running.

The stranger led Pang Jing Dong into an alley. It seemed like he was very familiar with the place, turning into corners without hesitation. They were too fast for the chasers, who were soon left behind. They kept running until they could no longer hear any noise behind them which indicated they had successfully escaped. The two of them sat down on the spot and started resting.

Even though their stamina was not bad, they found themselves panting after the extreme exercise. After catching up to his breath, Pang Jing Dong said to the stranger, ”Thank you!”

”Thank you!” the stranger said to Pang Jing Dong at the same time. After a brief pause, he asked, ”Did Brother Tony send you?”

”Who?”

”You're not from Tony's Nightclub?”

”Tony's Nightclub?” Pang Jing Dong had no idea what he was talking about.

The stranger was confused too, ”If you are not one of Tony's men, why did you save me?”

”Save you?” Pang Jing Dong realized something and asked the guy immediately, ”What's your name?”

”Peng Jing Dong!” The guy took out a bag of tissue; he took a piece of tissue paper and wiped his sweat, before handing the bag to Pang Jing Dong asking, ”What's yours?”

”Pang Jing Dong!” said Pang Jing Dong while holding back his laugh.

Peng Jing Dong looked stunned for a moment before he burst out laughing.

”What the f**k!” the two of them yelled out at the same time.

”If that's the case, I think it's our fate to have such an encounter. Let's introduce each other!” said Pang Jing Dong with a smile. He reached out his hand and introduced himself, ”Pang Jing Dong, a small employee at a real estate company!”

”Yeah, such a coincidence that our names are so alike, and to meet in such a way!” Peng Jing Dong shook Pang Jing Dong's hand warm-heartedly and said, ”My name is Peng Jing Dong. I'm in charge of the Public Relations for Tony's Nightclub.”

”Public relations…” Upon hearing this, Pang Jing Dong thoroughly inspected the person before him.

Peng Jing Dong was tall, and his skin tone was fair, which gave him a handsome appearance. He talked softly and had a weak scent of ladylike perfume. He was wearing a pair of skinny jeans and a half-transparent T-s.h.i.+rt.

With his image, together with his occupation involving ‘Public Relations’, Pang Jing Dong had managed to guess his ident.i.ty.
