She had been smiling all day.
Lou Xu was going to school next weekend, so Lou Yue looked at the calendar and decided to take him to the amusement park this weekend.
When she called Lou Cheng that night, he was both worried and happy to hear her voice. ”Sis, where are you now and how are you doing?”
Lou Yue hadn't thought about the word ”good” these days, but it seemed like she was slowly getting better. Someone had pushed off work and stayed with her at home for the whole day, so she was now on her way to filming.
There was a slight smile on her face. ”Well, I'm fine.”
Lou Yue paused for a moment. It was unknown what she was thinking, but she spoke with a heavy voice, ”Lou Haodong … ”He didn't do anything to you …”
”No!” The other side quickly answered, ”He's been drinking outside for the past few days.”
As if he didn't want to talk about that person and didn't want to talk about that matter again, Lou Xu changed the topic rather clumsily. ”Right, Sis. Is there something you need to call me?”
Only then did Lou Yue remember another reason why she had called him. Smiling faintly, she said, ”I've already helped you with the admission procedures. Remember to report to Hua Ting Middle School on time next Monday!”
At first, Lou Xu was still in a daze. It was only after a long while that a surprised voice came through the receiver, ”Hua Ting?!”
How could he not know that this was the best private high school in the city. Not only were the tuition fees expensive, but there were also many people whose families could not even enter if they wanted to.
Lou Yue's voice suddenly sounded a bit guilty. The phone was filled with the sounds of her sighing. ”Xiao Xu, it's my fault for treating you so badly. If only I hadn't been in the prison …”
It won't ruin your life, much less destroy yours.
Seeing that she was blaming herself again, Lou Xu didn't ask how she had managed to register her name in the Imperial Courtyard. He only said with some heartache, ”Sister, don't say it like that. Your life is more difficult than mine …”
After pausing for a moment, the voice on the other end slightly panted, as if carrying a little hatred with it. ”If it wasn't for Xie Bai, you'd be a famous lawyer, you wouldn't have …”
He wouldn't have suffered so much, and he wouldn't have become like this at all.
Lou Yue's grip on her phone was a little wet. Lou Xu still didn't know that she was with Xie Bai again. If he did, how would he feel?
He was still a child, so he should have grown up on campus without any worries, eaten well and slept well. As for these complicated matters, it was not his turn to worry.
Lou Yue didn't want to say any more, so she said in a relaxed tone, ”Alright, you're going to school next week. Tomorrow, when I have time, I'll bring you to the amusement park.”
Lou Xu's voice suddenly rose, obviously not expecting this day to come so soon. ”Tomorrow? ”Really?!”
Lou Yue smiled. ”Really, I'm going to bed early. We'll meet at the entrance of the amusement park tomorrow morning at 9 o'clock. Can I get up?”
Lou Xu's voice was very cheerful. ”I can get up, Sis. I won't be able to sleep tonight.”
Lou Yue teased him in a rare manner, ”Sleep early. If you're late, I won't even wait for you to buy a ticket before I go in.”
”Yes.” The person on the other end of the phone was in high spirits. ”I'll go to bed immediately. Sis, I won't tell you anymore. I'm afraid I won't be able to get up tomorrow. Good night.”
Lou Yue was also smiling as she thought about how excited her child really was when he went to the amusement park. She smiled and said good night before hanging up the phone as well.
Today was exactly fifteen. The full moon hung lazily in the sky, filling the sky with stars.
Lou Yue hung up the phone. Her hair that had just been washed was still wet, so she didn't want to get a headache when she fell asleep. She put away her phone, grabbed a towel, and went to the balcony to wipe her hair while enjoying the scenery.
The night breeze was cool. The scenery here wasn't really that beautiful. From afar, it looked like a layer of dense parasol tree. But suddenly, Lou Yue noticed a black figure standing below with sharp eyes.
He was tall and straight, with long legs.
It was as if he was standing with one hand in his pocket, slightly looking in the direction of Lou Yue's floor. He was motionless, as if he had been standing there quietly for a century.
Lou Yue rubbed her eyes …
