357 Revolutionary Poem! (1/2)
Nevertheless, within a brief moment, the number of people tagging her grew, all pointing at the same poem.
'What poem is this? How did it get so much attention?'
Fueled by her curiosity, she finally decided to check it out.
[Crab is peeling my shell.
The notebook is writing on me.
The sky filled with me lands on the maple leaf and snowflakes.
Yet you're thinking of me.]
'Such a simple poem!'
That was Little Yu's initial impression. Additionally, the writing style came off peculiar. It was childish, and the sentences seemed to be in reverse. Under normal circumstances, it would not be appropriate.
However, weirdly enough, she felt that the poem carried a hidden meaning. Crab, notebook, maple leaf, snowflakes. They all described one emotion—sorrow.
With that sorrowful feeling in mind, she read the poem again. This time, as she read through the verses, the sorrowful feeling deepened. Suddenly, her eyes narrowed, and tears seemed to pour out from her heart, instantly flooding her eyes.
'Reverse!'
'It was in reverse!'
'This is a revolutionary poem!'
She wiped the tears at the corners of her eyes, and read it for the third and fourth time. The emotions grew stronger, and finally, she took a deep breath and started to voice out her views on Weibo.
[The beauty of language lies in its versatility. I firmly believe poetry to be the canvas for this beauty to be fully expressed. Language can use the simplest words to express the deepest of emotions! This poem is definitely well written. It is different from all other poems. It was written in reverse! It shook me to the core!]
She started by uploading that message onto Weibo. Like a rock that caused a thousand ripples, it instantly attracted the attention of all the viewers.
[It can't be. Even Little Yu is praising that poem?]
[FML. This is my first time seeing Little Yu giving such high praises to a poem. A new writing method? What does this mean?]
[I'll await for the explanation with you guys. Let's appreciate this together!]
[Could it be a circle jerk? Y Cosmetic is an online trend store after all.]
[It's too fake. Just a couple of words and it's getting such great assessment? I just can't see what's so good about it.]
…
Very quickly, the comments under Little Yu's post grew. More and more people started following the thread, all of them trying to figure out the meaning behind this poem.
Little Yu paid them no heed but instead continued to type out her insights.
'Reading in reverse?'
They once more shifted their focus on the poem.
[I'm peeling the shell of the crab.
I'm writing in a notebook.
The sky full of maple leaf and snowflakes landed on me,
Yet I'm missing you!]
Boom!
