Meanwhile, Little Green and Little Gray cocked their heads to the side, checking out the surroundings curiously.

”The green one is Little Green, while the gray one is Little Gray. I'm keeping them as guards.” Ye Lingchen replied with a smile, then placed both the wolf pups on the floor.

Once they got out of Ye Lingchen's arms, they turned active immediately. The pups scrambled all over, smelling around the floor and walls in the house excitedly.

Back in the university, they only had the cramped space of the dormitory's balcony to move around. Given the sudden growth in space, they ecstatically ran throughout the entire house tirelessly.

”They should be hungry. Come have some meat.” Zhang Yunxi went off to the kitchen to get them a piece of meat and placed it in front of Little Green and Little Gray.

The pups started by smelling the meat and licked their snout, but they did not eat. Instead, they looked towards Ye Lingchen.

”You can eat the food she feeds you from now on.” Only with Ye Lingchen's nod they finally yelped happily and started wolfing down the meat.

”Didn't they say that huskies were stupid? They can identify people?” Zhang Yunxi was surprised that they would reject food from strangers.

”I train them occasionally. It's rather successful.”

”Is there anything in this world that you don't know?” Zhang Yunxi threw Ye Lingchen a resigned look.

The more time she spent with Ye Lingchen, the more she felt defeated. He was like a monster in human skin, pulling surprises out of the blue.

”How's the store going?” Ye Lingchen asked as Zhang Yunxi had been busy the entire day.

”I've looked around. I still think Golden Eagle Shopping Complex is a better location. The students in this campus town almost always head there. They have a movie theatre, a KTV[1], and high foot traffic of mostly women, however…”

”However what?”

”The rent is too high,” Zhang Yunxi said with a frown. ”I just saw a shop unit for rent today. It was around 80 square meters. Each square meter costs RMB400!”

RMB400 per square meter. With 80 square meters, that would total to RMB32,000 a month!

That rental rate was unimaginably high for an average person.

However, in Capital City, every inch was worth its value in gold. Ye Lingchen was not surprised.

”The price is not unreasonable. I think we can go with that. It's better to start a business sooner.” Ye Lingchen was confident about his store. With a wave of his hand, ”You can go sign the contract tomorrow. We'll start in three years.”

Zhang Yunxi stared speechlessly at Ye Lingchen. She hesitated for a moment before speaking, ”Lingchen, there's another thing I need to discuss with you.”

”Should we change the store's name? I've made a survey. The cosmetic industry has recently been monopolized by a few named brands. Our Y-Cosmetics can't compete with them. Why don't we join an established franchise?” Zhang Yunxi had done her research. She continued, ”I know of a popular brand online. It's very popular amongst younger folks. The franchising fee is not too expensive as well. It's only RMB600,000 including the renovations.”

”No!” Ye Lingchen rejected firmly, ”We have to run our brand. Not only that, our Y-Cosmetic will only grow stronger in the future and aim to be the top of the world!”

Impressive!

That was the only thing in Zhang Yunxi's blanked out mind.

She found it difficult to understand where Ye Lingchen's overwhelming confidence came from.

With the current cosmetics industry being saturated and the well-known brands in the market. Each store was fairly similar. It was difficult for them to outperform each other.

”That's enough, don't overanalyze the matter. You just have to be brave and do it. Set up the store as soon as possible. When it grows in the future, you'll be a founding member of the company.” Ye Lingchen brushed the matter off with some meaningless words and headed upstairs. ”It's already late. Go get some rest. Just let me know before the store's grand opening.”

Zhang Yunxi shook her head, feeling that her boss was not dependable at all.

The next day, Ye Lingchen woke up early as always. However, this time he brought Little Green and Little Gray along, bringing them with him for a morning jog in the park.

With the two pups livening up the atmosphere, Ye Lingchen felt less lonely. It was a harmonious scene between a man and two wolves.
