The list was the very name list given to Ye Xin a while back to pick out an Alpha.

Old Patriarch Ye spent a lot of time and effort to pick out good single Alphas at a suitable age from people he had a good relationship with in order to find a partner for his son.

The reason he picked Gu Yan was because of his friendship with the old Gu patriarch. Since Gu Yan was also his youngest, he should mix well with Ye Xin’s temperament.

But who knew…that something like that would happen on Ye Xin’s side.

Fortunately, they only had a talk in private. The matter didn’t get blown out of proportions until everyone knew.

In the afternoon, Ye Xin also came to look for the old patriarch to talk to him.

Old Patriarch Ye was pissed just at the sight of him, but Omegas had weak bodies after all. His old partner loved this child especially much, even to the point of pulling his hand before departing and telling him to find him a good mate. So, even he himself didn’t feel good to see his son taking the initiative to show weakness now.

The main reason why Ye Xin was so stubborn was because he thought his life was over. Lin Su didn’t want him and he couldn’t be with anyone else. If he didn’t marry in this lifetime, he’d be a stain in the Ye family history. It was very wrong of his father to keep him at home and not send him to the association to begin with. If he did not marry, the omega Association wouldn’t let up. When the time came, things might get even worse.

However, he was pulled out of the dead end by Ye Qing. He saw hope and had become much more sensible. He could also sit down calmly and talk.

His piece was well thought out. Society had never been fair to Omegas. Ye Xin listed everything out one by one and old Patriarch Ye really gave it some thought.

If Ye Xin really couldn’t forget Lin Su no matter what, then it would only be trouble to marry him off. Omegas were different from Betas, who could get a divorce if they found themselves stuck in an unsuccessful marriage. A marked Omega could never be freed.

Old Patriarch Ye sighed.

Ye Xin quickly brought him water and said meekly, “Your son was unfilial. Something took over me and I left home without caring about anything and I made you angry. This is all my fault.”

Old Patriarch Ye let out a great sigh again and waved his hand, “Go. I need rest.”

Even though he didn’t promise anything, he began to consider it tactfully.

Though old Patriarch Ye was very concerned about Lin Su’s status, what he worried the most about was the age difference. Thirty years! Ah!

However, at the moment, nothing shocked him more than what happened with Ye Qing.

He really couldn’t figure it out. Why would Ye Qing be an Omega? Could his partner have hidden something from him in the past?

Old Patriarch Ye looked through the names on the list. Ye Xin frowned. “You…You’re planning to?”

“Yes. Have him marked first, then marry later.”

Ye Xin was shocked. “This…Isn’t this being too hasty?!” Even though 80% of people get married after getting marked first, families from high positions were very particular about this. How could they be so reckless with a child they spent so much effort raising!

Old Patriarch Ye glared at him and bellowed, “Shut up!”

Ye Xin shrugged.

Old Patriarch Ye had five sons. Even though Ye Qing was the youngest and a beta, he had always been quite neglectful of him. Yet in the end he was still his flesh and blood after all. He wouldn’t behave like this if not for the urgency of the situation.

He was also an Alpha, so he knew how Alphas thought. Once they’ve had a taste of an Omega, it was hard to put it down again. There was no need to mention what other thoughts Ye Mo had about Ye Qing in the past. What happened today was enough to surmise that it was impossible for Ye Mo to have normal intentions after this.

Rather than letting things continue to fester, it’s better to make a quick decision to stop it!

As long as Ye Qing was marked, Ye Mo couldn’t have any more ideas.

They would still be brothers then.

As for Ye Qing, old Patriarch Ye sighed. He definitely wouldn’t treat that child badly.

The candidate list was filled with pure boys from good families. Old Patriarch Ye didn’t have to ponder for long and chose an Alpha with a slightly weaker family background, but with a good character. He figured that with the Ye family backing them, Ye Qing wouldn’t have bad days even after moving there in the future.

Even though they were marking before the marriage, they couldn’t be reckless.

Old Patriarch Ye contacted the Omega Association and asked them to notarize the matter.

There were better rooms in the Omega Association that could block out even the strongest pheromones. It wouldn’t rile up any unnecessary trouble.

The chosen Alpha’s name was Suo Ye. He just happened to be on his day off, so when he heard an Omega had just dropped out the sky for him, he was giddy with joy. Not to mention, things were happening so quickly. It would be fine even if it came quicker!

The other was the youngest son of the Ye family, a beautiful Omega with a strong background. It really was like a pie falling out of the sky. Happy days.

Just like that, Ye Qing was hauled off to the Omega Association while unconscious.

The effects of the tranquilizer wouldn’t wear off until the night. The timing was perfect, and there was no better time for a marking than during the night.

Even though Ye Qing had taken an inhibitor, it didn’t matter. There were things specially designed to deal with inhibitors, as well as drugs that could prompt Omegas to enter their heat.

After everything was ready, they just had to wait for the beautiful Omega to wake up.

When Ye Qing woke up, his mind was blank. It felt like he had just had a dream where he transmigrated into a strange world and fell in love with his big brother.

The mention of his brother reminded him of Shi Yue, and then things were awkward. (t/n: that’s his biological brother before he died)

Who would like him? That’s bad, very bad.

Then, he was woken up from that shocking dream.

After waking up, he was still a little out of it. What entered his sight was a white wall. Uh…so it really was a dream. He was still lying in the hospital.

He struggled to get up, and when he turned around he saw a stranger sitting next to him.

When Suo Ye saw Shi Qing waking up, he gave him a gentle smile. “Awake? My name is Suo Ye.”

Shi Qing was confused. Who was this man? Suo Ye? Never heard of him.
