After a pause, she nodded. Then, it occurred to her that they were on the phone and Curtis couldn’t see her actions, so she added, “Got it. Nothing of the sort will happen. Don’t worry.”

“Mm. You’ve just given birth, you need to take care of your health. I’ll bring you dinner later.” Satisfied, Curtis’s tone immediately turned gentle, sounding like an entirely different person from a moment ago.

Bai Qingqing’s body relaxed slightly. She covered her hand with a mouth and asked softly, “Is Muir incubating the eggs? Help me feed him some water every day.”

“He won’t die.” After saying that, Curtis hung up without waiting for her to persuade him otherwise.

Bai Qingqing could only call Winston and ask him to take care of Muir.
