19 Expansion of the Zerg (1/2)
A tide of zerg rushed towards the protoss defenses. A zergling jumped at a templar's face, savagely attacking him in a frenzy. Its scythe blades attempted to dismember the zealot who was caught by surprised and only managed to defend himself. As the tide reaches the zealots, spines, acids and blue beams of light were exchanged between the two armies. The rays fired by the stalkers, immortals, reavers, dragoons and an active carrier slaughtered zerg in the thousands as they create large burning holes in their tide of claws and teeth.
Unlucky protoss hit by the acids either met death or are brought back in order to transform them into dragoons for battle. As for those who died, the protoss would leave them as they are for now. The valley that they're in is very defensible and forces the zerg forces into a more condensed spot where their artillery could reduce their numbers rapidly. As minutes go by, the protoss managed to push back the tide by several meters, letting them produce more artillery and build more defensive structures.
Nereis had used up much of her surviving supplies to endure this tide. Despite having aid from a zerg queen who rains down spines and psionic destruction, the tide they encountered is far more numerous and vicious. Unlike the last attack, this one seemed to have been more coordinated as their numbers gradually rise and certain 'waves' occur. These 'waves' would cause a short and sudden surge of zerg to attack in an attempt to force them to waste resources in order to defend themselves.
Once their supply started to dwindle, another creature emerged through the warp gate. Its presence caused the liquid like gateway contained by the circular gate to ripple. A fleshy balloon with two large, circular and purple sacs on its sides flew through. Its fleshy tentacles swaying slowly as it levitates towards the protoss battlefield line.
A phase smith building immortals and dragoons noticed the floating beast and panicked. In fear of his brethren being attacked and slaughtered from behind, he shouted within the khala. 'Brethren, an Overlord is heading towards the defense lines!'
Praetor Nereis responded, 'Thank you Phase smith. I will handle it.' After cutting down several zerglings in a whirlwind of psionic death, the protoss praetor went back behind the lines and searched for the aforementioned Overlord.
Not long after, she spotted the bulbous mass in the sky as it drifts towards the battlefield. The preator examined it. She noticed that it looked different from the Overlords in any reports. It had two purple bulbous sacs on its sides instead of the usual vertical rows of purple mass.
Its 'center mass' also looked more circular than the ones she saw or heard of. Its appearance is also more insect like and more neat in a way since the purple color is only on its circular sacs on its sides. This weird appearance made her hesitate to attack since she found it odd that an overlord would be outside the protection of the zerg army. Its purpose as a transport and command organism is not new information, so why is it here?

In a quick thought, she decided to attack it in order to prevent any unforeseen attacks. The protoss dashed towards the Overlord and brandished her psi blades. With a jump, the praetor shot towards the Overlord with her blades pointed at it. Before she hit it, a psionic field pushed her back to the ground.
Upon skillfully landing on her two legs, thanks to her decades of combat training, a voice spoke in her head. 'Protoss Nereis, do not attack the Overlord. It is our ally.'
'Who is this?'
'Praelis, Zerg Queen. I have summoned a few Overlords to aid us in purifying these corrupted zerg.'
Right after saying that, three Overlords exited the warp conduit and headed into the battlefield. The first Overlord that emerged had reached the battle field during their conversation and deployed banelings. The banelings erupted and shot green acid everywhere. Zerg in contact with the banelings found their carapace being eaten away with some melting as so much acid was sprayed on them.
After a squad of ten banelings created a circle of acid in the tide, a small squad emerged. A pair of hydralisks, accompanied by three roaches and twelve zerglings emerged. The hydralisks aimed at the nearby Overlords while the roaches sprayed acid at all zerg engaging them. After about ten seconds, an Overlord fell under the concentrated fire of two hydralisks.
Upon its demise, the Overlord brought by Praelis immediately exerted control over the nearby zerg under its command. Dozens of zerg are controlled and aided the transported zerg troops as they hunt down the overlords to add more numbers. As more of Praelis' overlord arrive, more and more zerg are converted into the Creator's Swarm. The probes noticed this and reported this phenomenon.
A video showing the zerg fight each other is displayed through the Khala. Recognizing it as Praelis' back up, she commanded her templar to aid the zerg forces. Although reluctant, the templar preferred aid than death from a 'lesser' race. With more Overlords brought in and hijacking the enemy zerg, the zerg tide was defeated in a few hours.
After the battle, Praelis established a few hatcheries to grow her forces on this world. She also discovered an ability she had previously overlooked. Apparently, Queens could use growth hormones to speed up the formation of zerg structures by an hour. However, the hormones can only be used on the same structure once thirty minutes in order for maximum efficiency.
She used the growth hormones on every structure she commanded to be morphed and sent zerg parties to search for more biomass. More queens are morphed back in Vanahim VII for using the growth hormones to rapidly increase the zerg expansion and break through into Tier 3, so they could unlock the more advanced strains. Praelis is assisted by another queen who had recently morphed, helping her establish hive clusters in case of another attack. While the Creator's Swarm prepares for a possible attack, the protoss also made their own preparations.
They are establishing another warp conduit and are aided by some zerg to fix their ships to the point where they could at least be usable in battle. The templar are reluctant in adding the zerg's aid as some reason that they may be spies of sort, but, a high templar among them could sense no link between the zerg aiding them and the zerg attacking them. The zerg are a hivemind race and those of the same hivemind would have uniform psionic signatures. As for their allies, their hivemind signature is too different from any zerg they encountered.
It raises the question on whether or not they are rogue broods and for those who suspect them, if they are planning to be transported to Aiur and launch a full scale assault. Such attacks have happened before but changeling zerg were applied and these zerg had none. While the Creator's Swarm and the stranded protoss form an uneasy alliance, mostly on the templar caste's side, the Creator himself is back in his creation to manage his system of deities.
Yahbenon, 12 A.N
Twelve years have passed since our Mother? Father? More of Creator had given birth to us twelve primordial gods. Those short years were spent creating our own worlds and places within the realm our creator called as Yahbenon. Each of our realms or places had things related to our domain and our personality was also altered by our domain as years go by. We made lesser Gods, angels, constructs, divine demons and creatures to serve us in this realm.
Some of us wanted to explore beyond this realm but found repulsion no matter how much power we exerted. The tablets left by our creator are left untouched and continue to spin slowly in constant speed at the center of this universe. A year ago, we created a calendar to count the year since our creation by what we christen as Anu'Elyahin, our creator for he or she has not given us his or her holy name. Time is counted by one year possessing 1000 months starting with the month of Anhi and ending with the month of El'shir.
Each month contains a hundred weeks, divided into ten days per week. Each day has a thousand hours of its own and each our has a thousand seconds. A single divine second in our calendar is equal to a thousand mortal seconds. In mortal years, 380,517 years have passed in this realm. Cities, temples, worlds, armies, kingdoms and Gods have been built in this time. One day, our creator, the one we name as Anu'Elyahin has returned.
