9 The Journey For Power Begins (1/2)
**********Karl's Perspective**********
Seems like I ran away just in time, barely a minute goes by and the Growlithe jumps out of the Bushes. It's running over to the Human seemed really excited at first but that changed into worry when it saw the Human sitting rolled up under the tree.
I won't stay any longer than this though, who knows when the Growlithes hunting instinct kicks in again. The girl seems to be safe now as well with her Pokémon being with her again. I will use this chance and get away. All this stress really made me thirsty I should just head back to the pond and drink there. I can still search for other sources of water afterward.
I head for the pond and arrive there without any new problems. I drink my fill and head back to the bush that kept my berry safe when my first fight started. I lay down and begin thinking about what to do next I start thinking about what I should do next.
[Alright. My original plan was to just hunt bug types to level up. But now one human possibly more thinks of me as a legendary Pokémon, even the first this region has ever had. I should really avoid any mistakes from now on. Especially concerning status effects. A measly Weedle nearly killed me. If I would look at it from a 3rd Person perspective that would have been f*cking embarra.s.sing.]
[I really have to thank that Growlithe for saving my poor b.u.t.t back then.
...I should get back here later to show my grat.i.tude if I can help those two someday with something...
But first I have to get stronger to be of help to anyone. Helping myself especially, being strong enough to not die would really help me... *sighs*]
[I can't get stronger if my only attacks are scratching, biting, bodychecks and kicking up
Sand...
Aren't reborn characters supposed to have abilities? Sure evolving is cool, but that's pretty much the thing for every Pokémon ever... if not exactly like I do it after every Level up...

How do I learn stronger Attacks? How do normal Pokémon learn stronger Attacks? Because they level up? That doesn't make sense.
How does a Poochyena or Mightyena learn Shadow Ball? By collecting dark energy? But how do they know they have to do that?
This is more complicated then I thought...]
[It hasn't been long since I got here and I haven't defeated a lot of Pokémon so maybe I should just try a little bit more and see where I get? I guess I have nothing better to try and defeat Pokémom, think of attacks and abilities and wish for pieces of information to just hit me in the face.]
It's only about around lunchtime so the sunset is still hours away so I decide to go hunting again. But first I gotta pick up my life-saving Berry again.
I try sniffing one out but I just can't smell them, so I run around to find them luckily I find some after 10 minutes so I head out to hunt again.
************ 5 Hours later ***********
I end my hunting trip. It's around 6 pm if I had to guess. The sun will set soon. I ate a Caterpie for lunch and one for dinner as well. Yes I know it's not the most exciting or the most balanced nutrition but it has to work for now. It tastes good so who cares. My hunting adventure was pretty successful if I can say so myself. I killed about 7 Caterpies and 3 Weedles. I didn't even need to use my berry it just went flawlessly.
I dodged about 3 Pidgeys and 2 Spearows. I really don't want to fight those yet.
I really want to find some piece of the forest where the Pokémon live closer to each other so that it isn't as hard as now to find hunting targets.
I search for some Oran Berries and eat them just to be sure that my HP is full. Also, there isn't any water nearby as far as I know so there are the closest I can get to a drink.
I climb a nearby tree and decide to head to bed early while the sun sets slowly through the branches of the surrounding trees.
You might ask why? Well because I can that's the great this about being an animal, I can sleep when and where I want and n.o.body can stop me. I don't have to work so as long as my belly is full and I'am tired enough nothing can stop me.
************* The next Day ***************
I wake up and stretch myself. I nearly lose my footing and drop down the tree as I forgot that I went to sleep on one of the bigger branches.
I climb down the tree and scratch my back at the bark of the tree.
Did I sleep wrong? I could swear my shoulder touched the bark and I really didn't feel it. I can't really see my shoulder but it seems to have gotten darker like the furr on my paws and snout. It also became somewhat harder? I just tried to scratch it but it felt like the carapace on those caterpies only hairy.
Don't tell me all those caterpies gave me body armor because I defeated so many of them?!
[shh****t that's pretty awsome isn't it? Now I'am like some buff armored American football dog? Well, not that extreme but I have some carapace armor on my shoulders. Wouldn't that be also pretty useful for bodychecks and tackles?]
Sure Poochyenas know scratch attack but what exactly should stop me from tackling my opponents with all my might? Exactly. It's nothing. With Bite, Scratch, Tackle, Bodycheck, and Sand Attack I already know more than 4 Moves. So I don't think anything can stop me from knowing more than that. After all I'am a human in a Pokémon Body, so there shouldn't be any Problems remembering more than 4 Moves.
Question is how do I learn more?
I still haven't found out more, maybe I will the next days.
********** The past three days ************
3 Days have pa.s.sed, three hunts have pa.s.sed.
On the first day I hunted 5 Caterpies and 5 Weedles. And actually got stung again by the last Weedle. But thanks to my precaution I had my berry ready and went on with my day.
I felt stronger after waking up the second day, if I had to guess I grew about another 5 centimeters, not much but hey it adds up.
I had hat some headaches from the morning till I went to sleep again but that was bearable. I don't know if it is because one of the Weedles got me and it's an after effect of the poison or something else entirely.
My carapace grew harder, not bigger but the armor on my shoulders became a bit st.u.r.dier. I can still make scratch marks into it but it's a lot stronger than the normal Skin I have.
I took down a lot more weedles than Caterpies that Day I guess I found some kind of nest or something. I defeated 4 Caterpies and about 9 Weedles. All in all 13 Pokémon, for the numbers I had up until now that's not bad.
