9 I Canst Just Die (1/2)
In the dining room of the White family.
Rose, Thorn and the entire White family are feasting, eating and drinking cheerfully. On the side of the dining room, on a platform, there is the corpse of the rose type vegetable monster, exhibiting itself as a trophy.
”That was a really big surprise! I didn't know before that there is such a powerful martial art on the world!” Lobup White laughs as he holds a pitcher of grape juice.
”I didn't know it either! Rose, why didn't you tell me that you are very good at hand-to-hand combat!?” Thorn asks seriously curious about that.
Rose takes a sip of the drink from a cup full of Thorn's blood, then says proudly showing her blood-stained teeth: ”What can I say? The issue of it simply did not arise. Hahahaha... And of course it is a powerful martial art, after all, it is my creation! Hahahaha...”
”Your creation!?” Thorn and Lobup White exclaims spitting out the drinks they were drinking.
”Hahahahaha... Your faces are so funny! Is it really that big of a deal? Hahahaha…” Rose laughs so hard that begins to clutch her stomach.
They spend a good time celebrating and laughing.
Later, when they finish having lunch, Lobup White gives a pouch to Rose in which there are twenty gold coins, and he thanks her deeply for her hard work.
Having finished everything they had to do here, Rose and Thorn say goodbye to the White family.
Rose rides on Thorn's back, and he starts to fly towards Lurep Village.
They then appreciate the beautiful landscape of mountains, meadows, and lakes quietly for quite some time.
Until they see in the distance another flying being approaching them. Soon they catch sight of it, it is a dullahan and its light jet black smoke cloud have a shape of three horizontal little rods, he is wearing a black armor with green and red patterns, and he releases a Third Level Full Awaken aura.
The dullahan stops in front of them, Thorn also stops and frowns, then Rose exclaims: ”You are Dani Zelu, aren't you!? What are you doing on a place like this!?”
”Mmm? Is he an acquaintance of yours?” Thorn asks tilting his head.
Rose accounts: ”It's someone I saw a couple of times in the castle, he's a member of the Zelu family, the blacksmith family, one of the Four Great Families of The Broken Earth Kingdom.”
Dani Zelu says courteously: ”It is a real honor, I wasn't expecting that Princess Rose could remember who I am. That's right, I am Dani Zelu. I wonder what is your friend's name?”
”He is Thorn, only Thorn. As for princess, I'm not one anymore. Anyway, what brings you until here?” Rose asks as several possibilities arise in her head.
Dani Zelu responds patiently: ”I have been sent by the queen to look for you. Inquiring I found out that you had taken a ship to Lurep Village. Very early today I arrived at the village and then I asked around its entrances, so I found out that yesterday you had left the village and that you came in this direction. I didn't know how long it would take to you to return to Lurep Village or if you were actually going to return, so I decided to fly in the direction you had left... and here I am, it seems that I am very lucky because I had found you pretty fast. Hahahaha...”
”Oh... interesting... have you brought a message from my mother or something?” Rose asks another question.
”Yes, she told me to tell you: I need to talk with you, come to Nedu Lake. Dani Zelu is a faithful pawn of mine, he will escort you safely to Nedu Lake.” Dani Zelu says looking very proud of being called 'faithful pawn' by the queen.
”I see!” Rose says smiling as she nods, and then slaps gently Thorn's head: ”Hey Thorn, follow Dani.”
”Sure, but how far is that Nedu Lake? You know, I've eaten a lot so I probably will need a toilet later.” Thorn replies casually.
When Dani Zelu listens to this, he feels that the picture of Thorn is very bizarre: (she has a lovely and sweet voice... but her demeanor is totally manly...)
Rose answers to Thorn: ”At your usual speed, it will take us almost twenty days to arrive there. But, I guess we'll make some stops on the way through...”
”Ugh... Rose, would you mind if I just fly a hundred times faster?” Thorn asks calmly as if what he just said were not the big deal.
(This guy... As I thought, he was too calm... With such speed, he could have taken care of the rose type vegetable monster easily...). Rose thinks and then says: ”Mmm... I feel that if one of these days you tell me that you can become a hundred-meter-tall giant, I will not be surprised by it.” Rose responds somewhat tiredly, and she nods: ”If you protect me from the wind, I'll be fine.” Afterward, she points with one of her fingers to the southeast: ”Nedu Lake is over there.”
Meanwhile, Dani Zelu realizes: (... What did they just said? Twenty days... a hundred times faster... a speed to get to Nedu Lake in a fifth of a day? What a ridicul--! Eeh!?)

Before Dani Zelu can react, Thorn grabs his hand with his left hand and uses his Awakened Skill to wrap the three of them in a layer of air, immediately afterward he begins to fly at more than four times the speed of sound! That action creates a dreadful explosion of air that slightly shook the mountain that was below them.
This makes Dani Zelu utterly speechless, and his light jet black smoke cloud that has a shape of three horizontal little rods shudder. He's feeling fear: (Such level of understanding of the wind! How could such a height exist!?)
Of course, Dani Zelu is scared out of his wit by this, after all, he is also a user of the wind type skill and despite being in the Third Level Full Awaken, he could not reach even the speed of sound, he is very close to reaching it but he still can't reach it. So how could he not be frightened when he is seeing someone who is more than two stages lower than himself but still can fly at four times the speed of sound even though that someone is carrying two other people!? It is just too difficult for him to believe what is happening around of him right now.
But then suddenly, after only five seconds of having been traveling at a supersonic speed, Thorn uses his index finger of his right hand to create a wind bullet, which in an instant he shoots into the throat of the confused Dani Zelu. The wind bullet then goes through Dani Zelu's liver, kidney, and intestines.
