Zed could feel his head starting to hurt—this was driving him crazy.

”Jean, how can I make you believe me?”

Zed seemed to give up on convincing Jean. It was his way of getting what he wanted.

Just as Zed got to thinking about how loyal Hess really was, Hess had already left the office.

When Hess closed the door, he let out a deep breath. Just as he turned around, a woman came running into his arms. He was so shocked that he almost let out a cry.

Hess was quickly able to recognize who the woman was. She was one of the floor service managers in the J Hotel. They had hooked up before, and they were the ones that caused the sanitation problem to that hotel room.

The other day, they had sex and left in a rush, which didn't give her enough time to clean things up.

”You scared me! Don't do that again. Boss is inside. If he finds out about us, things won't look good for us!” Hess muttered as he rubbed his chest, calming himself down.

”So what if he finds out? I can just tell him that I'm your girlfriend. You promised me you would marry me, didn't you?”

For her, marrying someone like Hess was good enough. Hess wasn't just talented, he also earned enough for her so she could have a comfortable life.

But she would never know what was on his mind. Marriage was the last thing on his mind. And even if he did got married, he wouldn't marry her.
