Chapter 887 People Change (1/2)

”Calvin?” Zack exclaimed, looking up at Zed in surprise.

”Yes,” Zed replied, his lips curling up into a sly smile.

”He has the nerve to come to your home!” Zack retorted. He shook his head and sighed. ”You're too kind to him, you know?” he continued, his voice somber. ”Do you still remember how he set you up in H City? I know you've forgiven him and helped him go back to the Li family.” Zack looked up intensely at Zed. ”But why would you let him come here under your own roof? Are you that confident that he won't turn on you?”

”Do you really think he is an ungrateful man?” Zed asked, his forehead creasing.

Jean listened to them silently. From Zack's tone, she could tell that he was still mad at Calvin for what he had done to Zed before.

When Calvin took revenge on Zed, Zack went abroad for Magnolia. If Zack had been there at that time, it would have been much easier for Zed to deal with Calvin.

'Wait. Now that I think about it. Wasn't Zack the one who suggested to invite Calvin to dinner or something?

Why is he blaming Zed now?' Jean thought to herself.

”Well...” Zack scratched his head in embarrassment and then sighed, ”You've helped him so much. If he still wanted to do something to hurt you, then he hasn't earned the right to be treated like a normal human being.”

”I agree with you. But Calvin did give me valuable information last time he came here,” Zed said matter-of-factly.

”What? And what kind of information is that?” Zack asked, leaning in with interest.

A slight smile appeared on Zed's lips. He looked around the room, as if checking if there was anyone else listening in, and moved in closer to Zack to whisper beside his ear.

The smile on Zack's face slowly disappeared as he listened to Zed carefully. After Zed finished talking, Zack looked up at him in disbelief. ”Have you confirmed the authenticity of that information?”

”Not long after Calvin told me that, my grandpa got the same information,” Zed responded.
