Chapter 859 Don’t Blame Me (1/2)
What Zed really wanted was for Jean to go back to H City, avoiding her involvement in his family affairs.
He knew that this new enemy of his would not go easy on Jean, especially since Zed had fallen under his radar.
Carefully, Zed stroked Jean's hair, lightly tucking it behind her ear. 'I know she's not safe wherever I send her off, ' Zed thought to himself.
'I have to send her away before things get out of hand.
The problem now is how to get Jean to agree with my plans.
But Kirk...
Why did he have to ask Jean to help out with Elizabeth?
Jean even can't speak English fluently. It would be hard for them to talk to each other.
Is it really that necessary? Kirk already had everything planned out. And everything else should be left up for his fiancee to decide.
Why on earth would he ask a pregnant woman to accompany them?
I really couldn't believe it when he asked that favor from Jean. It truly was a bit improper.
There's nothing that can be done now, anyway. Jean had already agreed. It would be wrong to turn him down at this point.
Although, I can't say I know what to make of his request from Jean... Maybe it's just because the wedding is so near and he just doesn't have much time.
Of course he would want everything to go as perfect as possible, ' Zed concluded.
Despite this, Zed still hoped that nothing bad would happen during the wedding and that everything would go well.
Soon enough, Zed also fell into a deep slumber. The next morning, Jean woke up to an empty bed. Zed had already been out before she had awoken.
Giving a big stretch, Jean let out a lazy yawn before sitting up in bed. Ever since her pregnancy, she had been sleeping longer hours.
As the days went by, it was normal for her to wake up without Zed by her side. Jean gradually became used to it.
Flinging her legs over the edge of the bed, she put on her slippers and strode to the bathroom, letting out another big yawn.
A couple of minutes later, Jean came out of the bathroom neatly dressed and refreshed. Soon enough, she made her way to the living room.
There, the first thing she saw was Sean reading the newspaper. No one else was there besides the two of them.
