Chapter 820 Has She Brought Any Trouble To You (1/2)

After which, Jean gave Jesse a sweet smile and walked over to Zed.

Zed looked at Jean with concern. Jean said she was fine but Zed was still worried. ”Are you okay? Are you feeling well?”

”Yes.” Jean shook her head, reached out to hold his arm and said happily, ”Let's go back inside!”

”Okay.” Zed nodded, glanced at Jesse casually, and said in a cool tone, ”Jesse, it's time to have dinner.”

”Well…” Jesse looked at Zed and nodded, ”Okay. I'll be in soon. You can go ahead!”

Zed walked back towards Jean.

”Has she brought any trouble to you?” Zed asked in a low voice when they were no longer within hearing distance.

Jean looked at Zed in surprise. ”How did you know that I was here?”

”Mother told me that you had come to the kitchen and then had gone out. She hasn't seen you since then. Kirk also said that he didn't know where Jesse was, so I figured that you two were together and came here to find you,”

Zed explained.

Jean nodded and let out a long sigh. She looked at Zed, her face worried. ”She just wanted to anger me so she could embarrass me in front of everyone. But I stayed calm so I guess she failed.”

”What's going on with Jesse?” Zed said angrily. ”Just wait here a moment. I already warned her before.”

Just as Zed was about to turn around, Jean stopped him.

”Don't bother talking to her. It's useless. I told you her plan didn't work,” Jean said with a bitter smile. ”If you go talk to her now, then it'll be like she won because she might trap you in. She just wants to embarrass me in front of your family.”

”Why would she do that?” Zed looked angry.

”She knows she can't get you to fall in love with her, so the only thing she can do now is get your family on her side. This is the only way she knows that will get her a small chance of marrying you,” Jean sighed.
