Chapter 815 Falling For The Wrong Person (1/2)

”Well, don't just stand there. Please, have a seat,” Sean said with a meek smile.

The sight of so many people in the room made him a bit uncomfortable.

”Jesse, come here and sit with me,” Jade said as she held Jesse's hand and sat on the sofa.

Zed and Jean glanced at each other and sat across from them.

Meanwhile, Jean couldn't help but glance at Jade, knowing full well what her intentions of inviting Jesse to sit with her were.

'As long as Jade is here, Jesse will be on her best behavior for sure.

Jesse might be a little frustrated now but there's no telling the lengths she's willing to go to.

But if she still pursues Zed, a lot of people aren't going to be happy with her.

Besides, I'm not some pushover.

If Jesse tries anything with Zed that will harm our relationship, I'm sure mother will know how to deal with her.

Maybe that's why Zed was so calm when I shared my worries with him before.

Maybe he doesn't really see Jesse as a threat because Jade's on our side anyway.'

Jean felt slightly better but she still kept her guard up and treaded with caution.

'An angry woman will do anything to get her way.'

”Zed, it's been a while since we last saw each other! Looks like you and Jean are doing much better now,” Jesse looked at Jean carefully as she spoke. She slowly glanced at Jean's protruding belly, and put a fake smile on her face.

'Is she insinuating that the only reason Zed and I are doing better is because I'm pregnant?

The nerve this woman has to say something like that about me and Zed in front of other people!'

Jean was about to respond when Jade butted in. ”Jesse, when you find the right man for you, I'm sure the relationship you will have will be better. You don't need to be so jealous. There are so many men who are chasing after you. Isn't there anyone that you like? Your grandfather is so worried that you may never get married…”

The smile on Jesse's face immediately froze. She slowly turned round, looked at Jade and smiled bitterly. ”My grandfather and his friends have introduced some wealthy men to me. Although born into wealthy families,

”You're my wife in name only, on paper only. My heart and love will never be yours.”
