Chapter 707 Even I Was Moved (1/2)

Moore looked at Jean, shook his head and said, ”Of course not. You know that I have a lot of free time lately. Avery can't accompany you for afternoon tea, but I can. Anyway, I have something to tell you.”

”That's great! Let's go.” Jean was really happy to hear that Moore was going to go with her. Then they both walked out of the hospital together

and found a cafe close by. When they were seated they ordered some snacks and two glasses of freshly squeezed juice.

Jean looked at Moore curiously and asked, ”What did you want to tell me?”

”Well, last time you asked me to go earlier to help Zed in the company. When I got back, I thought about it and decided to go next Monday,” Moore said, taking a sip of his juice.

”Really?” Jean asked in surprise. ”But don't you want to spend some more time with Avery? Her advertising shoot is almost finished anyway. You can use that as an opportunity to spend more time with her since there is no other work lined up for her to do.”

”Of course I want you to...” Jean suddenly stopped, and then looked at Moore, smiled and said, ”For your happiness, of course, I want you to spend more time with Avery and cultivate your feelings for each other. I shouldn't have been so selfish, right?”

When Moore heard her reply, the smile on his face disappeared immediately. He looked at Jean and said, ”Just as you wish. That's your husband's company anyway. I have no objection, whether you want me to go earlier or later.” He finished with a sigh.

”Well, it's settled then! Moore, do you want to know why my father asked me to stay just now? Do you want to know what he just told me?”

she asked with a teasing smile, changing the subject.

Moore casually picked up a butter cookie, took a bite and asked, ”So what did your father tell you?”

”He told me that you had feelings for me and that I should stay away from you. Oh, how crazy!”

Jean said, innocently shaking her head as she glanced at Moore.

Moore stopped chewing immediately and the expression on his face was that of being found out.

Jean, misinterpreting his reaction, smiled to cheer him up. ”Relax, Moore. I know that we are just friends. It must have just been some gossip t

It all starts on that fateful night.
