Chapter 553 I Won’t Forgive You Whatever You Do (1/2)

More than anything, Avery was baffled and didn't know how to reply to Zed. She kept staring at Zed for a few moments before smiling bitterly. ”Zed, I know a lot about Moore and I know how he feels. I know how he thinks. And he will not fall in love with me no matter how hard I try to impress him.”

”It is inadvisable to make such an absolute conclusion, and that too, a pessimistic one. You shouldn't give up before you try anything. Once you keep on doing that, everything will be possible. Vikki, you are very gorgeous. I am sure that every man will be attracted by your beauty once he gets to see it. I am sure that you will get rewarded as long as you keep on trying hard and pushing yourself. You need to believe in yourself before someone else will believe in you,”

Zed told her with a convincing smile as he wanted to comfort her. He wanted to make sure that she wasn't pessimistic about her love for Moore.

His words made Avery fall deep in some thought. After mediating in silence for a while, she resolutely nodded in agreement and replied, ”Okay, I've got it. I will talk to my manager as soon as we can arrange a meeting. I plan to take a long holiday, so that I can do more in an attempt to impress Moore and then make him love me back. Since I have known and loved him for years, I really want to try hard to gain his love. Whatever the results, I will be glad to accept them.”

Hearing her determined tone as opposed to her previously compromised attitude, Zed looked at her with admiration and complimented her, ”Avery, I haven't expected that you would be so open-minded and resolute. I really admire you a lot. Please take it easy! Jean and I are Moore's friends. We are his sole friends around these parts, and we will help you so you won't be alone.”

”Mr. Qi, thank you so much. And, I would like to express my gratitude to your wife too,” Avery replied gratefully.

”There's no need for formalities. You can call us Zed and Jean.” Zed smiled at her. He didn't feel all at ease with her being so humble and down-to-earth.

”Then, please call me Avery! Vikki is just my stage name. But you should call me Avery, since we're all friends now,” She replied with a smile.

”Okay, Avery.” As Zed replied, a smile ran across his face and he noticed some sort of softness on hers, as if she was kind and loving.

Zed himself was really handsome and successful. And what's more, he had spoiled his wife very much. Looking at this man, Avery was unconsciously lost in admiration and involuntarily told him, ”You and Jean make a great couple. I really admire you two.”

”You don't need to admire us. Everyone can find his or her right one as long as he or she tries hard,” Zed advised her.

”I hope so!” Even with Zed and Jean helping her, Avery wasn't so sure that she would get Moore's love back.

She knew very clearly about the kind of person he was as they had been classmates for four years.
