Chapter 533 A Burden To You (1/2)

Seeing Jean start running quickly again, Zed said worriedly, ”Jean, Jean! Listen to me... Calm down! Let's not hurry... Okay.. Calm down. Look, I know we can find Hanley sooner if we hurry, but still... what's done is done. Hurrying and rushing can't and won't change anything. Also, you're pregnant now. You can't afford to run like this. You shouldn't put so much strain on yourself.” Worry was written over Zed's face.

”I'm sorry, Zed. I always seem to be a burder to you. You know what? I think you should go down to the resort village first and find Hanley without me. That way, you could find him easily and not have to worry so much about me. That would be better. And don't worry about me. I'll ask Moore to take care of me, and he will do it, you know... Trust me. I am going to be okay. You find Hanley and meet me at the resort village, okay?” A little out of breath, Jean was still rushing through her words.

Zed thought for a moment to contradict her but he couldn't think of a better idea, so he consented.

”Okay. But be careful, Jean. And listen, watch the road carefully. It is slippery and going downhill on such a road is even harder than an uphill climb. Don't rush and go back slowly, minding over step, okay?”

Zed ordered her.

”I got it, honey.” Jean nodded and tried to comfort him with a warm smile. She reassured, ”I promise I will do exactly as you have told me. You go and find Hanley.”

”Okay.” Zed gazed at her emotionally without saying anything more. A little while later, he reached out his hand and took hers and they walked to the camp together. Reaching there, they found Moore

and Zed exchanged a few words with him before he left.

Jean sighed as she gazed at his retreating back with an endearing look.

”I'm sorry, Jean!” Moore apologized to Jean with a guilty look on his face, ”It's all my fault. Calvin's matter is becoming serious because of me.”

”No, It's not your fault. You don't have to feel guilty. Don't worry Moore. Zed's not going to let Hanley do whatever he's planning to. Trust him.” Jean reassured him as she shook her head, ”Let's move and go down the mountain now! I'm really worried about Calvin. I hope Zed will be able to find Hanley as soon as possible and stop him just in time, or he will ruin Calvin's life.”

”You are right, Jean.” Moore nodded his consent. He had a few words to the porters before he followed Jean onto the path that led back down from the camp.

This time, the path was harder than ever before due to the slippery roads and if you weren't careful, you could have easily fallen down.

Fortunately, with the help of a trekking pole, they made it through successfully.

By the time they reached the resort village,

”Do you know what you did wrong? It's alright if you just wanted to own me. But you should not have helped Molly leave me!”

When Brian learns the truth, there is no chance for Hannah to win his heart.
