Chapter 358 The Hidden Envelope (1/2)

Moore couldn't say no to that point. He took a glance at his hospital clothes and helplessly told Jean,”There's no need for that. We can eat at a restaurant nearby. But...” He paused,”What would people say if they saw me hanging around in a hospital uniform. They would mistake me for a mental patient roaming free.”

Jean burst into laughter on his words and glanced at his clothes. ”You've got a point. Hey Moore, hold on a second. I'll be right back...”

And she hurriedly ran out.

”Jean...” Moore stared at her receding back as she left. He was dumbfounded.

Jean was looking for the top recommendations. Why had she ran out?

Jean felt a pang of guilt on hearing Moore say that he didn't have any other clothes.

Though he had been in the hospital for a long time now, she hadn't really done much to care for him.

Moore hadn't left the hospital since he had been admitted and

she had forgotten to buy any clothes for him.

His mention of clothes had reminded her that she had stored some cash in her old room, so she hurriedly pushed in, but

was completely taken aback when she entered inside.

There was someone else in the room. It had been only two days since she had left, and she hadn't even checked out.

Seeing her burst in, the patient in the room looked at her in surprise.

”Sorry, I want to go to the bathroom badly. Can I use the bathroom, please?” Jean asked in embarrassment.

The patient nodded and pointed in the direction of the bathroom.

Jean gave him a quick smile in gratitude and quickly ran to the bathroom.

Closing the door carefully behind her, Jean stood on tiptoe and held her hand forward.

As soon as her fingers felt the envelope, she immediately felt relieved.

She took it down, checked the amount of money inside and hurriedly hid it.
