This new change in Joy stunned Jean and she turned to look at Moore for help but realized he was at a loss of words just like her.

'Is Joy going to act like a good mother now?' Jean guessed secretly.

Raising her eyebrows slightly, Jean looked at Moore trying to tell him she had no idea regarding the sudden change in Joy's demeanor.

'I know Joy too well to know that she can't change for anyone. This woman hates me! I wonder what her new trick is.'

”Mom!” Looking at Shirley, it was obvious that she was also confused about her mother's attitude reversal.

'Mom, what are doing now?

Can't you see the mocking smile on Jean's face?' Shirley thought with her eyes fixated on her mother. She secretly prayed her mother would stop this awkward behavior.

Listening to Shirley's call, Joy looked at her daughter and gave her an angry look which told her to shut up. Then she turned to Jean and continued,” Jean, I'm older than you, and probably know more about men. If you want Zed to love you then you have to try your best to please him. If he is satisfied, he will give you anything you want.”

”Are you going to tell me about how you seduced my father and took my mom's position? I'm listening!” A sarcastic tone could be detected in Jean's voice.

”I'm not trying to teach you. I'm trying to help you, Jean. Besides, your father and I went together because your father didn't love your mother anymore. However, it indeed hurt your mother's feeling. Not long after that your mother died. I really am sorry for your loss. Even though you hate me, I still want to take care of you. In fact, I always did. Now you are married. You should understand what's the key factor to maintain your marriage.

You probably don't know how to love because if the love is true, Zed would not treat you this way. If you want to go back to him again, you should find a way to wiggle out of this problem. I really mean to help you. So my advice to you is that you should not agree to divorce Zed.”

”Whether or not we get divorced, It's none of your business.”Jean retorted back with anger oozing out of her body.
