He sighed deeply. Now that his life wasn't constantly implicitly monitored, he could properly relax. Well.... maybe not. This time, there were no signs of civilization at all. There was no shed, no village, or another person. However, there were trees everywhere and since it wasn't a desert, he decided that unless the network said otherwise, he would use this lifetime to stock up on supplies.

He had upgraded his s.p.a.cial Ring to be the equivalent of a dimensional farm and would fully utilize the newly added land.

You are lost, somehow appearing in the middle of nowhere

That was a first, he thought. Not only did he not have a name but the description was far shorter than usual. There were also no circ.u.mstances listed so he decided to follow his original plan.

He first decided to check on his 2 special items. He had died for both of them so their upgraded forms had better be overpowered.

[Spirit s.h.i.+eld]

(A wieldable barrier which is invisible to the enemy. Activated automatically when asleep and unconscious)

[Phoenix Heart]

(Grants the ability to be revived in a grand firestorm. Can be used once per soul)

Excellent, he thought. The Phoenix Heart no longer required the sacrifice of a family member, even though he would have gladly sacrifice his original family members. The Spirit s.h.i.+eld now guarantees protection in all circ.u.mstances and would not alert the enemy.

He had searched for a while before deciding that there was no suitable shelter so he decided to build his own. Using his Sharp Knife as subst.i.tute for an axe, he cut down a dozen trees. He set up a tiny shed which he had slept in before continuing construction.

In less than a fortnight, he had created a nifty lodge with three floors, a balcony, and a gabled roof. Then he began to forage through the vegetation to find anything suitable to be placed in his s.p.a.cial Ring. Although the s.p.a.cial Ring had an entire acre within it, he could not access it directly. It prohibited animals and humans but accepted plants.

Months pa.s.sed and his s.p.a.cial Ring was packed. The s.p.a.cial Ring could've been called a s.p.a.cial Farm as it had been repurposed into a dimensional farm which would grow spices, medicinal herbs, and generic vegetables. He thought of upgrading the s.p.a.cial Ring again in order to invoke the ability to store livestock but he had already spent half of his points so he decided to be stingy.

Speaking of livestock, he realized that he had not seen many animals around here. Plant life flourished in this sector of the wilderness, however only the occasional bird was spotted.

Having finished his usual meatless meal, he was already in bed and drifting into unconsciousness. He then heard a loud bang which quickly alerted him to an intruder.

He rushed downstairs with Stealth activated to find a little girl wearing nothing but rags. The house was still permeated by the scent of his gourmet cuisine which had apparently lured the little la.s.s in. She growled like a dog and went to the kitchen. Finding that the pantry was empty and there were no leftovers anywhere, her face revealed grievance and indignation.

Amused by her behavior, he revealed himself and she jumped with fright.

”L-ll-leave, if you know what is g-*grumble*”, her stomach had interrupted her which caused to her lower her head embarra.s.sed and dissatisfied.

He then realized in all 3 lifetimes, his cooking correlated with trouble. He sighed and said, ”If you're hungry, I can make something but I don't have any meat so-”

The girl then instantly pushed a something wrapped in leaves into his hands.

Unwrapping it, he realized it was venison. He then saw that the girl was looking at him expectantly and heavily salivating.

He was slightly reminded of Riri who had always coveted his cooking and even fought Guang for seconds.

”I'll prepare the food but... go take a bath”, he heavily hinted to the girl as her stench was slightly revolting.

She lowered her head in shame once again before going to the bathroom by following his directions.

He then cleaned the meat before slicing it into bite-size pieces. Using combustion, he heated up the pan. With the spices and herbs added, the house began to be filled with a mouth-watering scent.

He plated the dish and went towards the dining table. Already there was the girl, hair still dripping wet but no longer covered in grime. Her silver hair shone spectacularly and her eyes radiated a palpable resolve. He laughed and threw a towel at her.

”Take care of your hair properly. Silver is something of great value”

She hesitantly dried her hair but then wolfed down her meal. The meal had such a profound impact on her that tears began to pour out of her eyes. It was heart-warming and she felt that her past troubles were long gone.
