Chapter 25 (2/2)

Jian Yuncheng’s att.i.tude towards Jian Yiling was significantly better than before.

However, he still appeared to be serious and spoke with a straight face. It seemed as though he was dealing with work-related matters.

Jian Yiling glanced at Jian Yuncheng before replying, “Let’s go home and eat. You’re rather busy.”

Jian Yuncheng needed rest. His eyes were bloodshot.

Jian Yuncheng agreed with Jian Yiling’s proposal. “Then let’s go home and order takeaway.”

He really didn’t have the energy to eat outside.

When they arrived home, Jian Yuncheng saw that there were seven to eight parcels piled in front of their house. They were all Jian Yiling’s. During the day, Aunt Ao had accepted all these deliveries for Jian Yiling.

Jian Yuncheng didn’t ask her what she had bought and why there were so many parcels.

The children of the Jian family had control of their own finances ever since they were children.

From a young age, the Jian family tried to develop their child’s ability to independently manage their finances.

When he was the same age as Jian Yiling, he had attempted to buy stocks and shares.

And therefore, regardless of what Jian Yiling ordered online, as an elder brother, he didn’t plan to ask her about it.

Jian Yiling asked Jian Yuncheng to return to his study room to rest. “Go sleep for a bit, I’ll call you when the food is ready.”

When she was speaking, Jian Yiling’s eyes were not looking directly at Jian Yuncheng.

Jian Yuncheng could only see the top of Jian Yiling’s head. Her soft and black hair.

Jian Yuncheng a.s.sumed that Jian Yiling meant she was planning to go and order food when she said “Call you when the food is ready.”

He had no objection to this. He wasn’t a picky eater.

However, he didn’t know that once he returned to his study, Jian Yiling went into the kitchen.

After checking the ingredients in the refrigerator, Jian Yiling began to prepare dinner.
