27 Metal Lich chapter 22. Stuck worse than a tick. (1/2)
When I exit, the corridor there were more cells around this one, there was a body in bones in the cage, in front of my cell, but I would have to use a lever to try to open it. I look to the right, at the end of the corridor it was dark, look to the left it was also dark at the distance. All the light came from my cage, that had a hole in the ceiling. Every 5 meters there were two parallel columns, accompanied by a wall on each side, then followed by 1 to 3 cells more or less, in each corridor there was a torch that was placed on the opposite side from the one in the previous corridor. So, I decided to go to my right, since they say it is the hand of luck. Because this side is going to give me long life; while the left hand can give me good fame and wealth. Surviving currently was much more important than wealth.
With my torch what I was doing was lighting the ceiling since it gave me 2 meters of clear visibility around me and another 3 meters of less clarity. My plan was to just spend the flashlight if I see something that is very curious or interesting, I maybe focus the torch to it, but my plan was to only use the lamp for 5 to 30 seconds maximum, to get my eyes used to the darkness, however the funny thing was that when I turned off the light, my eyes convey the darkness and clarity, in shades of red.
At times I heard how water droplets tumbled the floor as it fell or the sound of small animals screeching around me. The corridor was made of blocks that were placed to strengthen the ceiling support, however some blocks were at the floor, they had separated from the wall, creating small mountains of rubble along the way, however my personal opinion is that it was not necessary to put blocks on the wall, because on the other side of the wall you could see solid rock on the other side. Or maybe it was more aesthetic, or it had a color that was much brighter, that maximized the brightness of the torches.
Like any Gamer, my first objective was to get the armor and collect any item that could be useful in the future. I started to try to open all the cages that I was finding, however the first 3 that I found, had the lock mechanism damaged, which means I needed a lever or pig leg to open it.
Reaching the next corridor, I saw a torch, and without hesitation I take it.
”Ding!”
”This item can be used as a weapon or a lamp do you want to equip it? Yes or No.” My Omnivaiz said.
”Yes!” I said.
”Ping!”
”You want to name this equipment? Yes or No.” My Omnivaiz said.
”Yes!” I said.
”Choose the name of your item!” My Omnivaiz said.
I thought for a moment about it characteristics and came to the conclusion that this had the utility of a flashlight and the power of a lacer pistol, so I called it:
”The Flashlaser!”
”The Flashlaser: It is a torch that can be used as a flashlight, club or lacer pistol. Range 2 meters of light, as a lamp, Melee weapon or 5 meters long-range Energi Shot Damage: 5% of attack and strength. 16 pts light and duration” My Omnivaiz Told me. Then I observe that the Energy Shot status falls to 0. I ran to the next torch and took it
”Ding!”
”You cannot take this item!” You do not have enough capacity to take this item!” My Omnivaiz Told me. I place the torch that have 99 points in my inventory and take, the one in the wall.
”Ding!”
”You what to equip The Flashlaser?” Yes or no.
”Yes!”
”Flashlaser equipped” My Omnivaiz Told me. Then I turn it on, only a second lasted on, when it stopped working, turning to dust. So, I did some more tests, and discovered that must equipped to get it fill with the energy shot status. If I use with 1 and it reaches to 0, it goin breaks, and turn into dust. So, I decided that from now on I would collect them and keep them in my inventory. My plan was to fill them with point of the energy shot, so that I can have more of this weapon in case of an emergency.
After collecting a large amount of Flashlaser, I realized that I forgot to check the cells. I don't know how many corridors I had passed, but I found a ladder that go up one level.
I looked up at what could be the exit and looked at the corridor behind me where I knew there was an exit, thinking what to do; suddenly I hear:
”Squeak!”
” -17 pts!” I see this number shine in my vision. Simultaneously, I felt something hit me, and I flew where I came from. At the moment, I can not explain what had happened to me…
”39 HP-6” I see this shine in my vision. Feeling the hard ground beneath me simultaneously.
”Squeak!” I heard Again. Look where the sound came from and Illuminate the place where it seemed to me, that the sound was coming, then I see a bat. I check my quickly status to see how many life points I had left.
Health point:
33/209 pts.
Energy Shot:
24/100 pts.
Mana point:
20/20 pts.
Force field
67/100 pts.
Light feather field
50/100 pts.
Looking at my fast status, the damage was divided into 3, so the blow sent me 6 meters walking away the stairs. The bat seems to have been surprised to see that his blow has sent me flying so far; as fast as I could, I raised my self from the ground and ran to the bat and almost instantly I get behind him, seizing the moment I hit him. I knew something was wrong with my speed, but this was not the time to think about it.
”Bam bam bam bam bam
”HP -15 pts, -6 pts, -10 pts, -2 pts, of damage!” My Omnivaiz said.
I had a torch in each hand, so, I Hit the bat with each of the torch like I was hitting a drum. Seeing the damage my weapons did, I think the more energy points it has the more damage they can do, within its assigned percentage.
The bat falls at the floor. He was crawling while trying to run away from me. I decided to do a little experiment with my tongue.
”Splash…Bam!” I spit my tongue at the bat, since frogs often use their tongues to catch their prey.
”Crack!” The bat sound, upon receiving the blow of my tongue
”7-255! Overkill” My Omnivaiz said.
”Crack, crack…Gulp” I chewed it and swallowed the bat. My intention was to catch him and try to copy a skill, but unfortunately, I did not know that my tongue was so powerful. The good or bad is that it didn't taste like anything. Having a tongue did not mean having the ability to taste things.
