Chapter 476 The Truth (1/2)
There was no way for Bonnie to save face. She felt ashamed, turned around and fled away.
”Mr. Ren, can we continue to talk about our topic now?” Wanting to return to the thought, Rachel looked at Marcus and tried to take their conversation back to the topic.
Marcus looked at her, smiled, and said, ”You surprised me. You have a sharp tongue when you have a fight with other women.”
”Mr. Ren!” Her brows furrowed, Rachel shouted upon hearing Marcus said something irrelevant.
Marcus touched his hair gently when a thought flashed before his eyes. ”Actually, I've told you the answer earlier. You just don't want to believe it.”
”...” Rachel was speechless.
”I'm a man, a healthy man. You're hot and attractive. How would I resist the temptation?” Marcus added. He noticed her become less confident upon hearing what he said. Rachel believed that they did nothing that night and wanted him to tell her the truth. However, she didn't hear what she wanted to hear.
”Rachel, if you feel unhappy to be Hiram's wife, you can marry me and be my wife. I'll be glad about that.”
A smile lightened up his face. He saw the disappointment in her face and added, ”Don't worry, I don't mind that you have been married once and already have kids. I care about nothing but you.”
Suddenly, he heard the sound of a chair being moved.
Rachel stood up.
She quickly grabbed her purse from the chair, turned around and walked out. Carl saw her leave. He glared at Marcus and immediately followed her.
Marcus grinned as he watched Rachel leave angrily.
He recalled everything that had happened at that night as he played with the coffee cup in his hand.
He had Rachel in his arms while she was unconscious that night. Admittedly, he felt a strong desire to have an intimate connection with her.
However, he came to his senses and thought of the consequences of what he intended to do. Although he agreed to help Flora, he had no intentions of enraging Hiram. Because if he had gotten intimate with Rachel, he would get one more enemy, a mortal enemy.
He couldn't deny that Hiram was powerful. So he chose to resist the temptation that night.
He had thought that if the situation got worse, he would still have the room to maneuver.
So after he calmed down, he went to the living room and sat on the sofa for the whole night. He didn't go back to bed until it was dawn.
