Chapter 646 - League Commanders, the Vanguards of Conquest (1/2)
”Little Qin, we've endured for five long days. Now that we have fulfilled our promise and brought in the reinforcement, I think maybe it's time for you to loosen your tight lips a little?” After they found Qin Ruo, Majestic Hero and the other League Commanders laughed in embarrassment and made a sincere inquiry.
”Yeah,” Netherclaw joined in with a grin on his face. ”You have put me in an extremely awkward position, you know? I have no answer for my members other than saying we are going to help out a friend when they asked me, 'Why do you need us at the Underworld?'. I bet they are now all looking down on me in disgust.”
”Hahaha…” Qin Ruo and the others replied to Netherclaw's ”protest” with heartfelt laughter.
”Please forgive me for the secrecy. I have no other option. To be honest, I am not entirely sure about the plan either. Even most of my members were not informed beforehand. Only a few cadres from Fallen Angels League are briefed.”
Qin Ruo's explanation baffled the other four League Commanders.
Black God chipped in, ”I do believe you.” He paused for a while. ”There are a few underlings of mine who are close acquaintance with some of your members. When I asked them to gather information through them, we got nothing in return. Even your own guys are puzzled by the invitation, claiming that Fallen Angels was doing well and could have completed the quest with no hassle. Qin Ruo, don't you think it's too much to hide the plan from your own League?”
”Tsk, how interesting! I am really curious now. Quick, spit it out. What's this all about? Why is the Winter Demon making such a fuss and requesting help from all four Great Leagues at once?”
All four of them turned to Qin Ruo with excitement and waited expectantly.
”Alright.” Qin Ruo nodded and decided to tell the truth since they were now at the critical stage of the plan.
He proceeded to tell them everything he knew about the Divine Specter.
He observed the altered expression of the four commanders, which turned from shock to solemn, then from solemn to deep thought. Apparently, the four Commanders understood the enormous difficulty lying ahead of this quest.
”Don't worry. The reason I called you here is not to help us take down Divine Specter. I only need your assistance to hold the station while we are away! We will take care of the Divine Specter on our own.” He then guided them through the details of the plan.
The four Commanders looked at each other, then Majestic Hero was the first to break the silence. ”I am not going to say another word. There is only one request from me, count me in. I want to fight the Divine Specter as well. I will ask my members to stay back and help defend the station. Don't try to convince me that I am not fit to go to the other battlefield. Besides, you don't plan to keep the true strength of Divine Specter confidential from me right?” Majestic Hero final sentence forced Qin Ruo to swallow back the words that almost came out of his mouth.
He raised both of his hands and laughed. ”Alright. If you insist, I will not stop you. But let me get this straight, I am not confident that we will come out of this alive. So don't blame me if you drop Equipment.”
”Come on. Are we that calculative? One or two Equipment is nothing worth mentioning.” This time, it was Scarlet Bauhinia who spoke up. He shrugged after both Qin Ruo and Majestic Hero turned to him. ”Don't even think about ditching me. I am also planning to build a city in the Underworld. I am on a fool's errand if I don't get to see the true strength of Divine Specter with my own eyes.”
Netherclaw and Black God raised their brows when they heard Scarlet Bauhinia's argument. They had to admit that Scarlet Bauhinia's words resonated their true feelings. Both of them also stated that they wanted to be part of the mission.
”Now, now, I don't think you two should tag along,” Scarlet Bauhinia joked. ”We are talking about a Specter here while both of you are Shadowmancer. Mind I remind you that your Dark Spells are ineffective against a Specter.”
Qin Ruo wouldn't have noticed if Scarlet Bauhinia did not mention it. Both Netherclaw and Black God, despite having veteran's level of Magic Attack, would be of little use against the powerful Underworld creature.
”Damn. We still can operate as support, can't we? In case a Lich comes to spoil the party, we can count on Netherclaw to stall it!” Black God's straightforward statement was hard to refute but it did upset Netherclaw. 'Why only me? What's your responsibility then? Sit and watch?'
”Okay, okay. I think everyone is here.” Qin Ruo looked at the jammed space below and instructed the four Commanders, ”Each of you would take over one side. Please deploy your troop immediately. Also, ask your members to pay extra attention to the Demon Faction players inside the camp.”
”Demon Faction?”
The four of them turned toward the camp simultaneously but were unable to see through the Barrier.
”That's right. I already have Black Rock to keep an eye on them. Just be extra cautious,” Qin Ruo explained.
They nodded and accepted the task. ”No problem.” The four Winged Champions then split and headed in different directions.

”Divine Specter?”
”Gosh! I have doubted it. I knew that Project Pioneer was not going to be this easy.”
”So the hardest part comes at the end stage.”
As the defensive duty of the city under construction were being gradually handed over to the four Great Leagues, Qin Ruo timely supplemented the missing details about the Divine Specter and the reason he needed external help to his members through the League channel.
After fighting in the Underworld for five straight days, almost every member of Fallen Angels had upped by two to three levels. Including Qin Ruo who had reached Level 56, everyone was yearning for their new life in the Underworld that would come to fruition in two more days.
But all of a sudden, they were being informed that there is one final obstacle to be surmounted.
Despite being a little daunting, they had confidence in their Commander's plan and the exhortation to annihilate the Divine Specter together soon drowned the entire channel.

”There is nothing to be afraid of!”

The atmosphere was unusually euphoric when the entire Fallen Angels defensive troop was being replaced by elites from the other four Leagues. This was because the reinforcement could clearly feel the enthusiasm shown by Fallen Angels—A result of the satisfying quicker speed of farming and leveling in the Underworld.
The 30,000 Tier 5 Players from Fallen Angels got into their positions speedily after they passed over the defensive duty. Led by Qin Ruo, Majestic Hero, Judge, and several other Veteran Champions, the team lined up uniformly in a conical formation.
