Chapter 612 - Shadow Soldier Ants (1/2)

”…”

Deathscale Pangolin is slain. Acquired 200 points!

Accumulated score: 32600!

Ranking: 782930!

The last announcement from the system messages had given Qin Ruo a new perspective of the contest's scores.

He didn't think he would be able to break through 30,000 points this easily. And if he slayed the Jebel Pangolin here and acquire that 200,000 points, he could have bagged more than 300,000 points and above in total!

Other than that, he didn't think that the geographical advantage would benefit him so greatly over here.

It had not yet been five minutes since he entered the Mirage and the Blackscale Pangolins had been all but eliminated by him. He was also able to slay some Deathscale Pangolins which were along the way in half a minute.

The battle… was tipping to his favor!

The only thing that was bugging him was… before he could slay all the Deathscale Pangolins, the Jebel Pangolin had summoned the rest of them to its side and formed a circular defense around it. They firmly stood their ground on the beach, thirty meters away from the seawater.

It was apparent that after losing to Qin Ruo in the first few rounds, the Jebel Pangolin had now understood that the ocean was overwhelmingly beneficial to Qin Ruo and therefore, had decided to not venture near the ocean from here on…

If that was the case, Qin Ruo would have no choice but to face off the Jebel Pangolin and the Deathscale Pangolins head on.

Nonetheless, over 140,000 HP had been depleted from the Jebel Pangolin. The battle was going quite well for Qin Ruo…

Besides, Qin Ruo didn't really plan to depend on the ocean's water entirely. He knew Jebel Pangolin was no idiot as the Boss would, sooner or later, move away from an element that was disadvantageous to it.

Qin Ruo swiftly took a black Mana Core from his backpack and directed some Mana into it…

Then, a flash of black light beamed out from the Mana Core and landed on the beach!

Splash!

The ocean water splashed up wide and high in the sky.

In a blink of an eye, a three-meter-long black giant ant appeared next to Qin Ruo. Its pincers were as huge and sharp as a pair of serrated butcher's knives; its feelers swinging left and right in a playful manner.

The Tier 6 Shadow Soldier Ant's appearance had sent a surge of excitement amongst the pangolins…

Roarrr!!!

The Jebel Pangolin let out a deafening roar to its Deathscale Pangolin army stopping them from being allured by the ”tasty cuisine” in front of them.

Seeing this, Qin Ruo let out a smile.

He was testing to see if the Pangolin monsters would still retain their savage eating habits; to see if they would still be tempted to consume ants. It went unexpectedly well.

He had only summoned out one ant when disorder had started to run rampant amongst the pangolins.

Heh!

Oh, don't worry. There's more!

Like a magician showing off his magic tricks, Qin Ruo hurled out all the black Mana Cores to the sky. In an instant, thirteen more Shadow Soldier Ants had appeared in front of the pangolins.

Heeding Qin Ruo's command, the fourteen Shadow Soldier Ants stood still in the sea. Basking their sturdy shells in the cool water, they leered uneasily at the Pangolin Army in front of them.

Although they were of the same level, the Pangolins were, after all, these Shadow Soldier Ants' natural enemies. Besides, there were over a hundred of them and having a giant Overlord Boss standing in front of them, it was quite understandable for them to be this anxious.

If it wasn't for Qin Ruo's command, the Shadow Soldier Ants would have run for their lives…

Nonetheless, the fourteen Shadow Soldier Ants had now influenced the Pangolin Army. Fourteen Shadow Soldier Ants were like fourteen delicious meals lying in front of them. Yet, they couldn't rush forward to feast on them; all of this being the work of a puny Tier 5 human Aquamancer.

To them, this was an unbearable slap of humiliation! Of course, this had also massively provoked the Jebel Pangolin!

Using his Elemental Perception, Qin Ruo could observe quite clearly that several Deathscale Pangolins were giving their all in pulling back their cumbersome bodies. Fuming out furious snuffs of gas from their noses, the Pangolins couldn't wait to dash forward and devour the Shadow Soldier Ants.

Qin Ruo knew… in a few moments, some of these Pangolins would have lost their patience and would storm out of their formation…

However, time was ticking. There were still twenty minutes left before reaching the time limit. Qin Ruo had no option but to defeat these Deathscale Pangolins in a very short time.

”Go!”

Hearing this, a Shadow Soldier Ant turned its head and looked at its temporary master pitifully.

”...”

Unfortunately, it was in no position to protest.

After Qin Ruo reiterated the same order, the Shadow Soldier Ants, influenced by the Mana Cores' seals, shook their shells in fear and dashed forward!
