105 Troublesome—Turnaround (1/2)
In Devil's Swamp, twenty-six Eight Gods Clan members hurried along. All of them completely disregarded the water splashing caused by their heavy footsteps, heading toward their set coordinates.
There were twenty-one red-tagged DPS players with good equipment marching behind five leading players in front. It was very obvious that they were the Hunters; those who only appeared on rare occasions for special missions and to clear obstacles for their Clan!
Along the way, several over-confident Marshcrocs did attempt to attack this group of players. As a result, before they could drag one of the targets into the swamp, a few warriors quickly surrounded them and tore apart… After that, they did not encounter harassment from Crocs anymore, as if these monsters were shocked by the dangerous team of players in front of them!
”How far is it?”
”Just in front! They definitely will stay there to resurrect their teammates! You guys need to be careful, those Aquamancers were very cunning.”
The person who replied was one of the five people who escaped before, a Tier 4 Titanwraith Berserker. Among the five people, it seemed that only he could use this tone to speak with these Hunters…
”Aquamancer?” A Hunter in front paused as he slightly frowned. He then asked, ”Is one of them called Qin Ruo?”
”I am not sure since he did not use his attack skill at all…” The Titanwraith Berserker shook his head.
Hearing the words from the Titanwraith Berserker, the man snorted coldly. ”Did not use his attack skill? Hmph, what a promising bunch. All it takes is a team of eleven newbies to wipe all of you out.”
”Uhhh….”
The Titanwraith Berserker's face turned completely red. ”It's not my fault. The ones to blame are the two Bandits. These two assholes said that they were only eleven of them. There's no Tier 4 Bowmaster in the team. However, as soon as we get there, one of our Bandits got killed… I have no idea how they even spotted us coming! Besides, there are at least two more Aquamancer behind us... We would not end up like this otherwise…”
”Enough!”
The Hunter stopped in his tracks and pointed at the Titanwraith Berserker with a pair of unforgiving eyes.
”There's no need for you to waste your breath. You've lost the battle. That means you're not worthy to be a commander. Trying to explain the mistake is only pushing the responsibility to someone else.”
The Hunter turned back and continued walking, mumbling as he did.
”Kill my eleven comrades… Hmph! Call our comrades to get ready in Blacktown and keep an eye out for those who resurrected there. I shall kill these people several times to vent my anger.”
The Hunter's confident and aggressive display bolstered the morale of everyone in their team. They felt like with the Hunter with them, they would be able to trample and destroy their enemies easily.
A person in front suddenly waved his hand, and the team stopped.
The Titanwraith Berserker pointed his finger in front and said, ”We've arrived. It's just in front of us…”
The man who chided the Titanwraith Berserker just now quickly nodded his head to the four Bandits beside him. ”Go around, search it carefully.”
Without saying a word, they activated Stealth and quickly blended into Devil's Swamp's dim environment…
Soon, they quickly brought back information about the surroundings.
As the Hunter listened to the report, he frowned.
”Five Radiant Priests, one Tier 3 Bowmaster, two Bandits, three Elementalist, three Swordsmen, two Berserkers… and one Summoner.
”No Aquamancer was found.
”No Tier 4 Bowmaster was found.
”Widen your search area, check every single shaded region… The Aquamancer can't be that far away! As for the Bowmaster… the Bowmaster should be nearby too!”
The Hunter felt troubled. His original plan—the guerilla attack, had to be set aside. He would not want to make the same mistake as his underlings did.
