1999 Treating The Wounds 3 (1/2)

The leader of the guards stood in its way to stop it from getting another step closer to the hall. Meanwhile, he sent his men to tell Long Siye of the incident. Long Siye went to check the situation as soon as he heard about it. Upon seeing the carriage, he was a little confused, for he could not recall whose carriage it was.

The magical horse seemed to be relieved to see him. Before he could ask, the horse started asking him for a favor. ”General Long, please send your men away.”

Long Siye was astonished. His men, however, refused to back down. ”General, I am concerned that the intruder bears no good intention.”

Long Siye dismissed his concern swiftly. ”There is nothing to be worried about. I have a grasp of the situation. You may leave now. Spread no word about what happened tonight. If anything goes out, you are responsible for it.”

The leader of the guards was puzzled, but he could never go against the general's command. He took the order and left with the rest of his men.

Long Siye turned his attention to the carriage and asked gently, ”Xijiu, is that you?”

The 'carriage' answered, ”Overlord Long, you are a smart man!”

Then, Long Siye watched as the carriage changed its camouflage and turned into a mussel of pale-pink color. The mussel, with the look of an adorable child, fixed its hopeful eyes on Long Siye, as though a lost child who had just found a policeman. ”Overlord Long, please help my master. She needs you!”

It then opened its shells, exposing Gu Xijiu.

There she lay, looking as pale as a white paper. Her breathing was weak, and one could easily tell the severity of her injuries. She forced a smile when she saw Long Siye. ”Long… Instructor Long… Save… Save me.”

Long Siye started to tremble in immense anxiety.
