1808 Hope 4 (1/2)

”Which forbidden place?”

”The Buddha Fire Land.”

Di Fuyi had recently also taught her about the method of entering forbidden places. He also taught her about the rules that needed to be abided there and the characteristics of the area. This was on top of learning about how to read the stars.

Gu Xijiu could remember a lot of things, but this was the first time she heard of the Buddha Fire Land. She changed her position and lied on his lap. ”Tell me more!”

Di Fuyi did not keep anything to himself and told her everything that he knew. It turned out that this Buddha Fire Land was the most underrated place in the eight forbidden places known to Di Fuyi.

As seen in Gu Xijiu's dream, there were fires everywhere. The entire land was bare, and no plants could survive. There was a very strange feature in this place which is that only women can enter. There was a man who accidentally broke into it before, and he was burnt alive by the flames.

Back in the day, Di Fuyi thought that he was good enough to withstand the heat there, so he tried to enter it. However, he could only last for 15 minutes. In that brief period, he patrolled some of the mountains there and found that there was nothing but fire. He did not see anything else, so he never went in again.

Since Gu Xijiu suddenly asked him, he seemed to be a little surprised. ”What made you suddenly ask me about this place? When have you been there?”

Gu Xijiu's heart was racing. She took a deep breath as she responded, ”I just had a dream. I went to the place in my dream, and then I found the Purple Cloud Mushroom in it... Do you think it was truly the Purple Cloud Mushroom in it? Do you think that God is trying to give me a hint using my dream?”

Di Fuyi remained silent. ”Dreams are often fictitious. Perhaps it is due to your obsession too…”

Gu Xijiu shook her head. ”No! If it was only my obsession, why would I dream of a place which I never been to before? How would it even be possible?” She grasped his hand and continued, ”I want to go and try my luck!”
