1724 Rebirth (1/2)
The Firmament Stone took a few steps back. ”I… I meant our new Lord… There would be a new Lord sooner or later; the substitute Lord could only take over for 300 years, right?”
Di Fuyi grabbed it as he grunted. ”Are you sure you don't want to tell the truth?!” Did the Firmament Stone take him for a fool?
The Firmament Stone still refused to spill the beans. ”My Lord, heavenly secrets are always highly confidential and are not allowed to be disclosed! Otherwise, you will face a tragedy!”
”I'm not afraid! Tell me! Don't you forget that I can also predict heavenly secrets; hence, it's not considered as leaking even if you tell me.”
”You've gone against the heavenly laws several times now; that's why you're not aware of this!” The Firmament Stone was upset as it answered.
Di Fuyi looked at it with an icy gaze. ”So what you showed me earlier is not a heavenly secret?”
The Firmament Stone could not respond. ”That… That was just a forebode! That shows the consequences if you continue to waste your time!”
Di Fuyi remained silent as he stared at it.
Did it mean to say that incidents which were possible to happen would not be considered as a heavenly secret? Who the h*ck was this idiot trying to fool?! Did it really think that Di Fuyi did not know the meaning of a heavenly secret?
The Firmament Stone became more concerned as the conversation went on. Finally, it told part of the truth. ”Since my master is the new Lord, she… she would not immortalize or die before the end of her life. She committed suicide using a forbidden spell without approval, and that is considered against the heavenly laws because she destroyed the world's balance; hence, she deserves punishment. The punishment of the heavenly law is to let her reborn after several years with all of her memories, and she would know that you had fallen. Besides that, she would have nightmares about the past every single night so that all of her memories would feel as though it just happened yesterday…”
That was too ruthless!
Di Fuyi's face turned pale. ”Carry on!”
The Firmament Stone did not hide anything anymore. ”If you just leave the world behind and cause it to be destroyed, she would need to oversee a disastrous continent when it's time for her to take over. All of her friends would be dead, and she would live with regret and hatred. What is worse than being restricted from dying and being tasked to rebuild the entire continent until the heavens are satisfied with her performance? Only then would she be allowed to die and finally be free from suffering…”
