1639 The Lord’s Fury 2 (2/2)
The voice belonged to one of Long Siye's disciples. Soon, a white shadow flashed before their eyes and entered the room.
The spell that Long Siye was casting fell from his hand. He turned his head and looked up. What was The Lord doing here?
Before he could fully comprehend the situation, the white shadow came to them like a powerful storm that was impossible to be stopped, giving them no time to react. An enormous strike came from the white shadow. It aimed directly at the ice coffin. A loud, impactful outburst could then be heard.
The white shadow started to gleam with a sudden brief burst of white light. The light surrounded Gu Xijiu, who was still helplessly lying on the bed, thus pulling her up and away.
Gu Xijiu floated away from the bed buoyantly into the hands of the white shadow.
It all happened too quickly, almost in the blink of an eye. Long Siye had no chance to react.
When he finally made sense of what happened, the room was already scattered about in a mess, as though a massive hurricane had just destroyed it.
The ice coffin was now in pieces. The cloned body in the coffin no longer existed.
As for Gu Xijiu, some parts of her circulation were frozen by the piercing cold of the Ice Jade Bed. Obtuse, her reactions were slower than usual.
The blocked vessels had resisted her ability to react. When she could finally get a grasp of what happened, she was already in the arms of another man, whose hand pressed firmly against her back.
A continuous flow of warm airstream continued to penetrate her skin. The warmth started to move steadily in a current to all her limbs and resolved the noxious cold that had dominated her system. The warmth regenerated the activity of her vessels and thus revived her blood circulation.
The man was in a complete white. His robe was white, even his hat was white as well. His snow-white mask made him look like an ice statue. When Gu Xijiu was in his arms, she felt warm, like she had just fallen into a heater.
