1608 I’m Not Going To Steal Anything From Your House (1/2)

When Di Fuyi asked him questions, Gui Quan pondered carefully before he answered them because he was afraid he might blurt out something he would regret.

Di Fuyi was figuratively knocking repeatedly on his door with the paper fan in his hand. After bombarding him with a series of questions, he suddenly asked, ”Aren't you tired of leaving your eyes wide open?”

Gui Quan was speechless.

Di Fuyi tapped on Gui Quan's head. ”Take a break if you're sleepy, you don't have to force yourself.” Instantly, Gui Quan fell asleep on a rock.

He had no idea how long he had fallen asleep. When he opened his eyes, he realized Di Fuyi was still sitting beside the lake nearby. He was busy fishing and his dark purple robe was fluttering like a dancing butterfly.

Gui Quan rubbed his eyes as he was slightly slow-witted. Subconsciously, he looked up to the sun in the sky. Perhaps, he did not sleep for too long; it was probably just a short nap.

”You're awake?” Di Fuyi added, as though he had a pair of eyes at the back of his head. ”You have nice fish in your mansion, huh? Let me bring a few back to make a stewed dish.”

Gui Quan remained silent as he began to make an assumption.

'Celestial Master Zuo must be thinking it was unworthy to give a Ganoderma as a gift just now and now he wants to get something in return to cover his loss?'

Gui Quan took a glimpse at the fish basket beside him and noticed two fishes were swimming in there. As soon as Di Fuyi finished talking, he managed to get another fish. This time, it was a footlong fat carp.

Di Fuyi put the fish into the basket and got up after putting away his fishing rod.

Gui Quan was curious. ”You're done?” He wished Celestial Master Zuo could stay there and continue fishing so that he would not wander around and Gui Quan himself would not be exhausted from following him. Moreover, it was still early; he should get another fish to make it an even number for good luck.

Di Fuyi smiled. ”I'm done.” He stirred to tease the fat carp; however, the carp almost bit him! Thus, he flicked the head of the fat carp and it immediately floated in the water.

Gui Quan idled with his mouth slightly ajar after taking a glimpse at the fish. He realized the fish was full of sharp teeth like needles. He might have lost a piece of his flesh if he was bitten!
