1147 We Are Far Closer Than Tha (1/2)
Over time, the fog gradually disappeared and so did the different views. Gu Xijiu was disappointed as she still wanted to see more.
No one knew that she had recently been living in fear. When she first woke up, her mind was blank, and she had no memories at all about herself. Not a clue.
Mo Zhao had told her that she was a clone, so it was evident that she would not have a past. He said that he wanted to marry her, but she would have to be well-behaved and be obedient to him. He even requested her to address him as Brother Zhao.
Though she had done everything according to what he said, her heart was always filled with anxiety as if she had forgotten something important. Even though Mo Zhao treated her well and made her dependent on him, she subconsciously felt that he was ingenuine.
There were many men in the underground palace, but all of them smelled horrible to her except for Mo Zhao. He had a fragrant scent, and she was addicted to it. Though she had a blank mind, she still had her intuition, so she felt that this was something very unusual.
She always felt like she was living in a net surrounded by an impregnable fortress. Though she felt like she was locked inside the fort, everyone around kept telling her that it was the best place for her.
A person without their memories was very fragile. She felt like she was on a single boat that was drifting aimlessly in an ocean; unable to find the harbor. However, she never expressed her helpless feelings to anyone. Subconsciously, she felt like she was looking for something in her dream, but had yet to find it.
Eventually, she would get a headache while she was looking for it. It was such a severe headache that she would be forced to give up on her search.
One day she went to visit Di Fuyi in his prison cell. It was at that moment when she saw him that she felt pain in her heart. It was a feeling that she never had with anyone else. Even though this person was a stranger to her, she instinctively felt close to him.
Soon after she had met him, he began appearing in her dreams. Her dreams were no longer dull. Instead, it started to become colorful. Several sporadic images would frequently flash in her mind.
Gu Xijiu had caught a fish and proudly showed him. He immediately stretched his body and said that he was hungry. He asked Gu Xijiu to grill the fish for him.
She embarrassedly said, ”I don't know how to grill a fish as I don't cook.”
