987 No Wonder It Was So Obedien (1/2)
Gu Xijiu was sitting outside of the carriage with little Di Fuyi in her arms. Di Fuyi controlled the direction of the flying lion using a whip.
Both of them leaned close to one another. Gu Xijiu took a look at the child she was embracing and gently rubbed his forehead.
The flying lion was a beast of principle and character. When Gu Xijiu tried to maneuver the carriage, he would not follow her instructions and dragged the carriage around in a circle instead. Gu Xijiu did not know what to do with it. She had no choice but to carry Di Fuyi in her arms while driving the carriage.
The flying lion took off swiftly into the sky. As tame as a rabbit, it followed Gu Xijiu's instructions loyally and would even wag its tail in an attempt to impress him.
Gu Xijiu felt that the situation had somehow triggered her maternal instinct. She was worried that he might be cold outside, so she even prepared a woolen blanket to keep him warm.
Gu Xijiu was confused. Ying Yannuo had prepared the carriage for their temporary use only. Why was the flying lion so loyal to him? Gu Xijiu was slightly impressed by him. She could not but think about her three majestic pets: one had a big stomach, another one liked to act cute, and though the last one was better, it was just a child. It seemed like she had to put in more effort to train them.
Although she was an excellent assassin in the modern era, it was not a norm to own any beasts in the society. Most people would only own a few pet dogs or cats in their homes.
Gu Xijiu did not have any spare time for pets as she had to go out frequently for her missions. She literally had no experience whatsoever in training animals and had to learn it by herself.
Gu Xijiu had no idea about other flying lions, but the one that was right in front of her was undoubtedly unique. Its appearance and responsiveness were of the highest quality.
Gu Xijiu could still vividly recall the incident where the two monsters were hunting the carriage that was carrying Little Fox and the rest of them. The flying lion had remained composed in its course of fleeing. If not for its flexible and quick-witted responses, they would have been the monsters' food.
”Did you raise the flying lion?” Gu Xijiu finally had to ask.
Di Fuyi slouched comfortably in her embrace. He half shut his eyes as though he was falling asleep, ”Hmm, he is my pet.”
