The man stopped, ”Now you understand the pain?”

”Who… Who exactly are you? You are not my… my puppet!” Panicked, she was overcome with terror. She tried to control him with her puppet techniques, but nothing happened.

”Qingluo, I am.” The man sighed, ”But I do have another master. Qingluo, I have been by your side for almost two years. I do have feelings for you. You are not destined to be with the man, so why don’t you take me instead? You see, I can comfort you, I can please you, I can make you happy. My looks and my spirit resemble him. Am I in any way inferior to him?”

Yun Qingluo closed her eyes, ”But you are still not him! Other than your looks, nothing else about you resembles him! You are incomparable to him!”

Rage grew in his eyes. His fingers jabbed into her injuries again. Yun Qingluo’s body stiffened. She wanted to scream out loud, but the man covered her mouth.

Yun Qingluo was apparently in a lot of pain as she struggled to avoid his attempts to continue hurting her. She looked at him with eyes round and bright, terrified by the devilish puppet.

The man saw her pale face and sighed faintly, ”He brought you the pain, didn’t he?”

His fingers still lingered around her injuries. Yun Qingluo was sweating profusely at this stage. She did not dare to talk back anymore and nodded in agreement.

The man seemed to be satisfied and finally removed his hand from her mouth. He asked, ”Do you hate him?”
