The sight of all of them made Gu Xijiu feel relieved.

Curiously, the mussel looked Gu Xijiu in the eye and asked, ”Master, are you crying?”

Gu Xijiu's bloodshot eyes were wet, and tears could be seen rolling down her cheeks.

She was dumbstruck by the mussel's sudden concern and quickly wiped the tears away and said, ”There is dust in my eyes. It is irritating.”

It was an unexplainable excruciating pain that felt as if something important in her life was taken away. Nevertheless, she could not remember what it was all about. Since then, she had been tearing non-stop.

To focus on the matter at hand, she dismissed those feelings and felt that it was probably because she had a peek at her depressing past. She did not think twice about it.

Di Fuyi had a presentiment about the illusion. He knew that something was wrong the moment everything started coming down. Through the fragments, he looked up, trying to see who was behind it all.

”Hao Er!” He softly said. He was shocked and greatly saddened by what he saw, for he knew that it was their last goodbye.

Gu Xijiu was too busy crying to notice Di Fuyi's emotional response. Meanwhile, the howling winds reached a deafening crescendo, so she did not even hear what he said. The tears he shed were also unnoticed.

As soon as they landed in the desert, they adjusted themselves to prepare for incoming challenges. They quickly looked for their companions and found them in time to save their lives. No one was harmed, and luck seemed to be on their side.

On the outside of the wizardry barrier, the evil spirits continued to make loud squealing sounds. The entire place had fallen into complete darkness as if the dawn of doomsday had approached.

Unfortunately, they were all still in the desert, caged within its fury.

”Where is Fan Qianshi?” The mussel broke its silence. The man who started the trouble should be responsible for ending it all, not run away.

”He should be here in the desert; perhaps, he is working on a way to stop the desert from expanding,” Di Fuyi replied.
