The woman in white's voice sounded very sinister.
Nevertheless, Gu Xijiu heaved a sigh and ignored her.
She looked at her son first to check on him and felt relieved.
Next, she glanced at Fan Qianshi, who was also watching her. The two looked at each other for a moment before Gu Xijiu decided to look away.
The sight of the man was enough to send discomfort to her stomach.
Apparently, the man that she had wanted to kill all this while was her apprentice in her past life! It seemed that she used to care about this apprentice in her previous life, and she had undoubtedly sacrificed a lot for him.
The revelation struck her like a thunderbolt!

Then, her gaze returned to the woman in white. In the illusion, this demon was just a pale shadow; even her facial features were not fully formed. But now, she looked exactly like Gu Xijiu in her past life and carried an auspicious aura around her as though she was the God of Creation. However, it was clear that the aura she carried was tinged with dark magic. Its magical power was already at its peak, so Gu Xijiu was not considered as its opponent in her current state.
”How many years have you been locked up in this desert?” Gu Xijiu suddenly asked.
The demon was stunned and did not seem to expect that question to come first since Gu Xijiu had seen so much of her past. It was already amazed by the fact that she could maintain her composure. However, the question seemed rather irrelevant, given that there were much bigger problems at hand.
The woman in white stepped closer to Gu Xijiu as she asked, ”Are you not afraid?” Her voice was cold.
Gu Xijiu replied, ”Will it help if I am afraid?”
