2956 The Scene Had To Be Recreated (1/2)
Was she pregnant with the boy already? If she were pregnant, then the two were certainly sleeping together very closely last night. Could the proximity have forced his soul to be absorbed into the fetus?
Would he be the same after she gave birth to him?
Perhaps, it was more likely that he would not remember anything.
In her head, she was entertaining all sorts of blind and disorderly conjectures that were now bottled up inside her. Feeling overwhelmed, she finally decided to share her thoughts.
Di Fuyi examined her pulse at once. His medical abilities were more or less on par with hers, but he had a much greater spiritual power at the moment, so his examinations would be more accurate.
”You are not pregnant,” he confidently concluded.
Gu Xijiu was relieved for a moment but soon became even more perplexed.
”Xijiu, tell me everything that happened last night between you and the boy.”
Di Fuyi still had a gut feeling that something was missing.
Without wasting any time, Gu Xijiu told him everything that she could remember.
As far as Di Fuyi understood, the boy actually had the mentality of an adult even though his body was restricted to the size of a toddler. Therefore, he knew that the boy would not insist on sleeping with his mother if there was nothing going on.
Di Fuyi decided to test Di Hao's spiritual power, and the result supported his speculation.
Di Hao's spiritual power was severely drained. It seemed that he had performed some sort of physically demanding spell. What had he done?
Di Fuyi then turned his attention to Gu Xijiu and saw the dark pouches under her eyes. He asked, ”Did you not sleep well last night?”
”I slept very well. I have never slept so well in a long while,” she said. She knew that her sleep last night was deepened into a long and undisturbed one.
Nevertheless, she still felt tired, even though she had a good sleep. Although she could not recall the specifics, she knew that she had a long, long dream throughout the night, but there was nothing she could remember as soon as she woke up.
Di Fuyi pulled her hand over and said, ”Let me have a look.”
By this time, Gu Xijiu knew that Di Fuyi already had some clues about what might have happened, so she agreed to let him continue his examinations.
A moment later, Di Fuyi let go of her hand and frowned as he processed the results.
He could tell that Di Hao had used some sort of spell that allowed him to read Gu Xijiu's memory, but it was not a simple memory extraction. The spell was much more powerful than that.
